  1. I love the way this thing is already looking. Please keep it going.
  2. Okay, finally tracked down some dry ice and the stuff is not cheap at a 1.47 per pound. So what is a styrene addict to do? Buy a couple of pounds! I'm experimenting with the stuff for now, although I think eventually I will have to use a fog machine too . . . Here is a trial and error moment:
  3. Jonathan, let me guess: THE RODDER'S JOURNAL?
  4. The spray probably allows for thinner coats than the dipping cans I had.
  5. Here's something Danno posted over in the GENERAL section of the forum, and I share it with you here:
  6. Danno, I love that sign and will copy it over to the TZH SQUAD CARAVAN thread if you don't mind. Kill the Zombies! Ooh-aah! Ooh-aah!
  7. All right folks, here's the new UPDATE VIDEO. Enjoy, and by now you know the routine. Those of you who did not get into this video, will get on the next. Just keep posting your progress pictures.
  8. Cato, I have used it before to make rubber mats for rat rod interiors. You take a HO scale siding styrene sheet, you make a frame around with plastic strip and then you pour the plastic dip in the desired color, let it dry, and you have a plastic sheet of the stuff to cut down to side and use. It makes great headliners too, etc . . .
  9. There are so many diorama ideas here, I find it mind-blowing. WOW!
  10. Excellent work, Carl. I've copied the pictures for the new VIDEO UPDATE. Thanks.
  11. Thank you, Ron. Just having a little bit of fun between projects. Hope you are well and thriving. Best, DC
  12. Sven's, love 'EM. Great work. That Gremlin's a beauty! Wow.
  13. Looking forward to it, Brendan . . . also I can't wait to see it come together.
  14. Yes, in case you haven't notice, summer is just around the corner and although in this tough economy few folks can make it out to the beach or on vacation, you can still participate in some great summer reading. The magazine stands are full of great eye candy, and so are the book shelves. Many of us are always on the lookout for great reads to add to our collections and archives. And so Doctor Cranky has started a little series of WHAT IS EYEGORE READING? (that will help make him into a better model builder) SERIES. And here's the first installment which I hope many of you already have read or have in your collection, but if you haven't, then I hope it's a treat. Enjoy, and please share your own reading pleasures here . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrNpxhL6LrI:
  15. No, Doctor Cranky is NOT missing, or has not been heard from since say . . . yesterday. I just wanted to share with everyone here (although I did not know if I should post it here in Where' Waldo or over in the General Section) how this whole business of Doctor Cranky and the Lab-RAT-ory got started. Also, that I am switching from using my PC to an Apple Mac Book and have been trying out some of these new image/movie-making toys that come with the Apple computer. Hope you enjoy this ONCE UPON A TIME . . .
  16. Love it, and I look forward to more of your ideas and work.
  17. Thanks for sharing the eye candy, Tim. Great inspiration.
  18. Hugh and Brendan, great progress pictures, I copied them over for the next TZH SQUAD VIDEO UPDATE. Keep up the great work.
  19. No doubt these are great reference pictures now on how we can all detail this type of engine, John. Thank you for keeping us well eye candy fed. Cheers, DC
  20. Mike, I love these. You gotta get them out more into the magazines.
  21. Every time I break open of these kits I wonder how long before they stop putting it out and then what would happen to the price? I would love to hear sales figures on this kit alone. I sure do hope Revell will continue to go down this high-quality road with their new kits.
  22. Love everything Tiki. Beautiful build and surfboard.
  23. Beautiful color. Can't wait to see more.
  24. More amazing progress, and I am delighted you express your amazing styrene talent by simply calling "old school." Keep it going. Take your vitamins and keep it going, please.
