  1. It's a wonderful kit, and it builds up nice. I'm in the process of getting mine built. It's painted and now I am working on the parts, etc . . . Keep yours going, Mike.
  2. They are all amazing, but my favorite is that GTX. Great work. Make 2012 a great new year for eye candy. Cheers!
  3. The best advice I can give you is to thin the paint to the right consistency and practice on plastic spoons before you try it on a model. The pressure for enamels is perfect at around 30-35, and Donn Yost says 32 is perfect.
  4. Oh my, all those corvettes just make me salivate over the new 62 that's coming out soon.
  5. I know, Peter, but I thought perhaps since I am thinking of building some gassers and funny cars that there were specific rules concerning signage, names, etc . . .
  6. That's what I was thinking, Rob. That would make a great scene, those two cars in those colors.
  7. I agree with Rob too, it won't hurt to ask and investigate, you'll never know what you will find.
  8. That's what makes this forum worth its weight in styrene! LOL!
  9. Amen to that, and you will certainly end up painting 20 vehicles just to see how that colors shimmers! I love this hobby, I do, I do, I do!!!!
  10. For either version, I would recommend Testors pearlized paints. They come in 1/2 ounce glass bottles.
  11. Thanks, everyone. Guy, all I can tell you is to build, build, build, that's the only way to improve. And of course, post everything you build here so we can enjoy the eye candy!
  12. Wow, you guys are setting my imagination free. FREE, I tell you! Oh, you know there's going to be trouble ahead! Love it. I keep all my decals in one of those big photo albums in a dark and dry drawer!
  13. It's a small world, ain't it? LOL, Christian, that just cracked me up!
  14. Well, let me see if I can focus a little bit more. I have cool sheet of THE OLD PRO decals that came with an AMT 69 NOVA kit and I want to retro fit them to something else, say a 41 Willys and turn it into a Phantom Gasser. Is that possible? Is it allowed? Or the fact that the colors and markings give away that it's from another vehicle, another era?
  15. I know it sounds like one of those crazy questions, but I beg you to think about it seriously. This is not a question about HOW-TO-APPLY decals, but rather how you use them. Do you use them for the original model, or do you cut them up and use them as needed in other projects? The reason why I am asking is that I'm interested in finding out from everyone who might have done it, if it's okay to put decals that were intended for say a Gasser or Funny Car and put them on a Street Machine, or some other style of racing vehicle. Just trying to get a consensus of what you've done with your decals in the past. Thanks in advance to considering the question and for commenting.
  16. Yes, be careful with all those weapons. Don't get hurt, and don't hurt your hands otherwise you won't be able to build models!
  17. Mike, you've put lots of great details on this model, and still managed to make it look box stock for the most part. NIce work.
  18. Thank you, Peter, coming from a master builder/fabricator like you, that makes me feel pretty darn good!
  19. Those look very good!
  20. Rob, that's looking wonderful. The paint job makes all the elements come together. Keep it going.
  21. You are welcome, and if I can do it, you most certainly can too.
  22. Shane, The Model Car Garage has these wonderful lowrider frames you can augment the plates with!
  23. Thanks, Darren, I do, and I will post some here:
