The best advice I can give you is to thin the paint to the right consistency and practice on plastic spoons before you try it on a model. The pressure for enamels is perfect at around 30-35, and Donn Yost says 32 is perfect.

Oh my, all those corvettes just make me salivate over the new 62 that's coming out soon.

That's what I was thinking, Rob. That would make a great scene, those two cars in those colors.

For either version, I would recommend Testors pearlized paints. They come in 1/2 ounce glass bottles.

Well, let me see if I can focus a little bit more. I have cool sheet of THE OLD PRO decals that came with an AMT 69 NOVA kit and I want to retro fit them to something else, say a 41 Willys and turn it into a Phantom Gasser. Is that possible? Is it allowed? Or the fact that the colors and markings give away that it's from another vehicle, another era?

I know it sounds like one of those crazy questions, but I beg you to think about it seriously. This is not a question about HOW-TO-APPLY decals, but rather how you use them. Do you use them for the original model, or do you cut them up and use them as needed in other projects? The reason why I am asking is that I'm interested in finding out from everyone who might have done it, if it's okay to put decals that were intended for say a Gasser or Funny Car and put them on a Street Machine, or some other style of racing vehicle. Just trying to get a consensus of what you've done with your decals in the past. Thanks in advance to considering the question and for commenting.

Yes, be careful with all those weapons. Don't get hurt, and don't hurt your hands otherwise you won't be able to build models!
