  1. Darryl, what a great touch to add the chutes and weather them like you did. Great build. This model will stand out on anybody's tables!
  2. That's what attracts me about them too, Tim. For me they really embody everything about the 60s and 70s! It's amazing to think that during the times of such crazy social upheavals, lots of people were into this.
  3. The red fits it perfectly. Nice, all around build. Cool model, another keeper.
  4. I want to thank John Teresi for feeding us all the type of eye candy that sets the bar real high. There's always the promise that many of us will get to climb that high.
  5. I also have a TAMIYA CAMPUS friend figure that I use to size up anything 1/24th! Great figures in that kit of four figures. Two guys and two gals. And it comes with a scooter too!
  6. It's got to be the intro to GET SMART!
  7. Love this model, and the paint is perfect. Great work, Tonio.
  8. Eric, I think you have a great imagination and a wonderful sense of graphical flair. Your models are wonderful. Thank you for sharing your eye candy with us and hope to see you around often in 2012! Keep up the great work.
  9. Jeff, yes, you can work it in a variety of ways . . . as long as the model gets done. Normally someone starts on it, and then sends it on to the other person. Like you can do a group collaboration and split up the different sub-assemblies. Someone who is good at engines can do that, then someone does the chassis . . . etc, and then another person puts it all together. Two and more people can play, and have a blast.
  10. Out of the Purple Pond and looking brand spanking new!
  11. Amazing build so far, and that chassis is a work of art.
  12. That thing is meaty and wonderful. Like the riding height too.
  13. It's already out in my LHS.
  14. That hing has the perfect look. Very cool. OH, my, and is that a skull in there for a shifter? Nice touch indeed.
  15. I like it, the weathering is nice and subtle. Wonderful model for your collection, and perfect eye candy for us.
  16. It is very addictive, that's for sure. Both watching the DVD and doing the painting itself.
  17. LOL! Do it and produce a lot of eye candy for us here to consume.
  18. Love them all, but those Challengers are my faves. They are all beautiful!
  19. I try to get rid of all markings on mine whenever possible, sometimes they ghost back up . . .
  20. George, those pesky dust particles can be sanded off if you let the coat dry. I think this looks wonderful for your first try. One of the most important things (one of the basic four Ps, as Donn class them) is preparation and controlling the environment. I usually will mist water on the floor and all around before I shoot the paint. Try not to wear sweaters or clothing that is heavy, although you still want to protect your skin. Long sleeve t-shirts are perfect, etc . . . also, make sure the jars you are mixing your paint in are clean and dust free, etc . . . I never use the jars where I am mixing pearls and or flakes into the clear with the jars where I mix the regular colors.
  21. I know, Tony, that would be such a great addition. I'll keep an eye out for some.
  22. Can't wait, Terry. I like the last picture with all the engine details. That gives me a few ideas.
  23. Good job on the interior. Keep it going, please.
  24. John, what a line up and clearly your versatility carries over from subject to the next. Congrats. Can't wait to see what you get started in 2012. Cheers, DC
  25. LOL! And George, pretty soon when I get my AARP card, I will carry that too so that I will have 3 items in my wallet: The Scale Card, the Age card, and the Styrene card!
