  1. The engine too is looking good so far, but I still have to wire it . . . And to think that after all the parts are assembled, the fun of weathering will begin . . .
  2. Making more progress . . .and still test fitting . . . The shine on this one is subtle and I have to say I like it, it brings out the pattern of the candy and the cheesecloth (I mean mummy wrapping) very well.
  3. Cruz, here's a picture of both of my Eclipses, these are really the work horses . . . and these two in particular have been with me for the last couple of years . . . I do keep them spotless though, giving them each a turn in the sonic jewelry cleaner . . .
  4. Let me see if I can dig them up, Marcos. But I use both the Eclipse and the Micron but with the price of those two you can buy like eight of the Neos. Here's the Micron--the price on this puppy hasn't come down, it's still expensive, but man it's like drawing with a pencil!
  5. Wow, I really dig the graphics . . . and the green is nice and intense, wonderful build indeed. You can never go wrong with a 41 Willys kit!
  6. Oh, this one is going to be fun to watch. I really like the color that comes on the box cover.
  7. Here's the engine so far . . . I am actually enjoying working on this engine. The Revell 34 kit comes with the two different options and of course I decided to go with the flathead.
  8. Initially I thought of adding wide whites to the tires . . .but then I thought this would would look better with completely black shoes . . . plus after it's done, I plan to dust some of that fine Egyptian sand dust on the treads and tires . . . I would love to have a glass pyramid to display this one in. Maybe I can get someone to build a pyramid out of plexiglass. That would look really cool.
  9. I've tried to add a variety of colors (metalizers) to the chassis elements just to make them stand out, and besides, why not? Gotta use up all of that Testor's stuff I have . . . although some of these elements are also airbrushed. . . . Here's a mock up where we are so far . . . Have also started to work on the engine:
  10. Things are coming together slow, one part a time. I sprayed a gloss coat on the fenders and chassis to seal in the Auto Air Color paint. Now it's not so delicate any more. I've done the same to the body, but not in this picture. The wheels are getting reading, etc . . . Chassis assembly begins . . . Thanks, John, for the kind words. Coming from a master builder like you, I am honored. Stay tuned in for more progress . . . .
  11. Ed, I sent Chuck my scrapple sandwich recipe which is chockful of vitamins, CRANKY VITAMINS. I think that's how he is staying up through the night. That and a dose of insomnia. LOL!
  12. How about combining the two and coming up with another model the BAT 5! Just an idea . . .
  13. Thanks, David. And everyone . . . this one has been probably one of the toughest models I've painted so far, and I am FAR from being done. I still have to paint all the little details, apply washes to darken panel lines, etc . . . and to top it all off I am constantly getting ideas for other details I want to add, so needless to say the progress is slow . . . but stay tuned in for more pictures . . .
  14. Looking good, that engine is! Wow, Doctor Cranky just became YODA!
  15. Thanks for the video . . . it looks like a great little airbrush for the price.
  16. I've discussed my personal issues with building models for money elsewhere, but I can tell you I agree with Tim on this, I try never to mix money with pleasure . . . the two never mix. Just my personal ten cents.
  17. I love the work you guys do on motorcycles. Wow.
  18. Absolutely stunning. Great builds.
  19. Wow, that looks super nice . . . great canvas for paint and graphics.
  20. I'd like to see more progress on this one when you get it done . . . .
  21. The color goes perfect with the red lenses!
  22. FANTASTIC, and just in time for Halloween too! Great. Well, Halloween was yesterday, but you know what I mean.
