  1. Chuck, I just love the way you utilize parts from all over the place. Nice touches throughout. Another distinct and wonderful model, buddy, congrats.
  2. The holes you see on the blower are for perhaps a few more lines . . . where they will go or lead, not even EYEGORE knows! Those old scuba tanks are WARHAMMER 40K goodies . . . and some watch parts: Nitrous? Mabye. I am done for the night and there will be more progress tomorrow . . . please stay tuned in!
  3. After a long, hard day, we are rounding the corner on this build. I still have to do the battery and the lines from the transmission to the shifter . . . And a few other things . . . but I have a rolling chassis and a few other details . . . Most of you already know that when it comes to engines and transmissions I know zilch, nothing, nada . . . so most of this stuff is gizmology at best, but hey, it's only styrene fun, right?
  4. Just when you think you've seen it all. WOW. It's these kinds of details that keep EYEGORE running over to the fire hydrant. Not only is he salivatin', but he is LOVING every step of this build. This is genius and totally inspiring, John.
  5. Thanks for the kind words, everyone. LOL, John, I build fast only for two simple reasons: 1) insomnia and 2) OCD! Oh, and 3) Just plain old CRAZY!
  6. Rylan, thanks for the support. I hope you get a lot out of it. It was a labor of love between Doctor Cranky and EYEGORE. Yes, you are now officially a CRANKYHEAD! LONG LIVE RUST!
  7. You know, that's not a bad idea . . . I think another one of these with two engines on it would be so cool. How does one connect two engines?
  8. That is one clean, well-built model. Fabulous color too.
  9. Another clean and beautiful model! Pure eye candy!
  10. Take your time, buddy, and I know you'll feed us more eye candy soon enough!
  11. Wow, lots of goodies. Enjoy and congratulations on the awards!
  12. Thanks, Dave . . . I have to confess I really like it too. I think I've always had great luck with these VW buses, panel vans, and pick ups. And, I tell you, you can never go wrong using a Willy chassis . . .
  13. Yes, I think I am definitely going to build another Willys.
  14. Dave, I hope your hand heals up real good. Wow, that's an interesting place of work. What do you do, maintain the carriages or ride them?
  15. The white walls are way too bright, but everything will come together once I get the whole thing done and then I can do some subtle weathering with the airbrush. Here's the freshly painted engine with some of the wiring done. I'm just mocking it to make EYEGORE continue to do his funky chicken dance. I gotta finish the engine and then weather it, although I would like for the engine to look newer than the rest of the build. I think it offers up a nice contrast between the body and the front of the vehicle.
  16. All right, folks, I am just having fun . . . going crazy painting all the little parts and then setting up the main elements so that I can see what this is looking like . . . I am still far from finished, but I'm just tickled silly that this thing looks so different and weird, thank to that original drawing by Nate Greco. The body is done as far as weathering . . . I didn't want it to get so grungy, but the paint looked way too bright and new after I had applied the decals, so I added a few pin washes, some filters, and a few rust streaks . . .AND, of course, the modified fenders from a 49 Mercury and the headlights. I still have to do a few touch ups and add some dirt to the headlights, etc . . .
  17. Thanks, everyone, for you support and comments. The fun continues, stay tuned in shortly. Travis, yes, I seal everything with Dullcoat or a matt clear.
  18. The painting has begun on the rest of the build. Please stay tuned in for more progress.
  19. That's the spirit. Can't wait.
  20. With every bit of progress this builds just keeps getting more and more interesting. Keep it going. I'm sitting down with some popcorn.
  21. Super nice.
  22. One word: GORGEOUS!
  23. Oh yeah, that's the kind of build I love. EYEGORE is doing circles around his fire hydrant. Excellent weathering techniques. Now you must share other builds you have. Keep the eye candy coming.
