  1. LOL! Let's see there's EYEGORE, there's OTTO, the friendly Lab-RAT-ory driver, Frau Brucher . . . well, you get the idea. Thanks for tuning in!
  2. I think so too, Make! LOL! I think I am going to try this one again, but this time it's going to have a double-headed monster and a scratch-built frame. At least that's how I jotted down the idea in my little idea book.
  3. Here are the friendly products from AK-INTERACTIVE that made all this chipping, rusting, and gunking possible:
  4. Thank you for helping Doctor Cranky stay inspired with your own amazing eye candy and wonderful support. Well, although I still have a few things to tweak, this one is good enough for some glamour shots. Please, remember LONG LIVE RUST!
  5. Wow, beautiful job on the torn and tattered uniforms. The details too are jaw-dropping. Nice work, always, John!
  6. Thanks, Adam, I am gathering my cables here and see what else (and where I can add them). This build almost made me cross-eyed! LOL . . . while I wait for more inspiration, I've moved this model over to the UNDERGLASS section. I still have to tweak a few things and it should be done.
  7. It's looking real good, buddy. Can wait to see the whole thing come together.
  8. Oh, I love these cars . . . keep it going, that's an intense red. I like it.
  9. All right folks, here are some macro closeups in what I think is pretty good focus . . . you let me know. Hope you've enjoyed this build as much as I did building it. When crazy ideas take over your imagination, ride them for the fun of it, and for the STYRENE ADDICTION! THANK YOU ALL for watching Doctor Cranky, EYEGORE, and the rest of the Lab-RAT-ory CREW!
  10. I am honored, John, coming from a master builder like you that means a lot. I'm just having fun, and losing my mind to styrene. Many of us, like you, are too far gone! LOL! Stay tuned in for a final round of mocking and tweaking before this one moves over to the UNDERGLASS section. Cheers, V.
  11. Just a few more: I cleaned up those tanks a little bit and the engine too . . . I had applied too heavy a pin wash of brown oil. Stay tuned in for more progress. This one is just around the corner from getting done.
  12. All right, got all the details and gizmology done on this one. I applied a few pin washes, but these pictures reveal I need to go in and clean up in some areas, it's too heavy, but I like the way it is looking so far . . . LOL, don't as me how the transmission works, but EYEGORE loves the plumbing! I toned down those bright white walls with a bit of medium gray . . . and airbrushed it on . . . thinned . . .
  13. Jairus Watson showed me this technique of dressing up the skeleton in tattered pieces of clothing by using tissue, etc . . . here's a pic of the result. I am sure your Pancho Villa is going to look marvelous. You work slow and the results are excellent. So it went that to this: This is from a build called The Devil's Cadillac:
  14. Oh very nice vehicle. Great details in that interior too. Thank you for sharing.
  15. Oh yeah, that's a beauty! Thanks, Mr. Cruz!
  16. Vernon, you can go here: http://www.ak-interactive-usa.com/ Ask for Iain Hamilton and he'll help you out! Thanks, everyone. Stay tuned in for more progress . . .
  17. Wow, how could I have missed this one? It's looking fabulous. All those little details are going to make the scene and model POP!
  18. Vallejo has a product called "Water Effects". Do you have the styrene subject already in hand?
  19. Man, it sounds like you have a very interesting job! But it does sound hard, although it must also be rewarding working with the horses.
  20. I know our daily eye candy allowance is coming up. I can't wait.
  21. Nice looking engine. I think it's all coming together nicely.
  22. Thanks, you CRANKYHEADS. Yes, it's been fun. Hopefully I will be able to get some work done, although the wife is sick with one of those 24 hour viruses and I hope I don't get it. Thank you all for the support, comments, and wonderful suggestions. Stay tuned in for more . . .
  23. Me too. I love the execution and the craftsmanship, not to mention the creativity. Keep it going, it's pure eye candy.
