  1. Jason, this vehicle really stands out. You've done a wonderful job with so many of its details. Excellent. Thank you for sharing.
  2. Thanks, I am still excited about this one.
  3. Found this and it's made my 2014 so far! For those of us always looking for interesting grills, I found this. Watch the video HERE.
  4. What a beauty! Long live rust!
  5. Love these pictures and the model is very cool.
  6. Looking good, buddy, keep it going.
  7. Beautiful work as always, Tim K. Love them both.
  8. Good addition to your collection. Nice work, Jim.
  9. Not only that but you can get the IWATA NEO for an excellent price.
  10. I know that perhaps mine is not the popular view but I believe the manufacturers are trying their best to keep the builders supplied with some of the very best styrene with seen in at least a decade. And perhaps they are paying very close attention to the market. I hope so.
  11. Neither do I, Nick, since like you, I am not a collector of boxes or box art, but in this case I could not resist buying this kit again because of it. I think the manufacturers have probably done some market research in this area (maybe) and they know what truly tempts their model buyers.
  12. Another beauty, JIm. Lovely color to accent those wheels.
  13. I am sure this happens to you all the time too. So, like it often happens, I find myself between projects and a couple of months of no building, and I find myself at the local hobby shop. Normally I stay in tune with kits that are scheduled to come out through Jack's MODELROUND UP, and I see what's coming and make a note of it. So, I'm at the local H.S., and walking up and down the isles and the new ROUND 2 (not new but a re-release, new package) 40 Ford sticks out its leg and trips me. My eyes fall out of my head, my jaw drops, and I feel like IT'S LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT all over again. The box cover art on this kit just captures the mood and feel of racing a fat fendered 40 Ford. It's the same kit, of course, but this time it's in a larger box. They've give the ART more space, more calling power. I don't know if you've gotten your copy yet, but you can check out my reaction to this kit and the art HERE Box Cover art, it's my contention, can really get you fired up about building a kit, and in this case, it can also take you back to those days when you salivated to no end at the sight of a kit who kept beckoning you to save your pennies so you could buy it and build it. Perhaps, my generation of builders is the last to feel this kind of connection. I hope not, not for the hobby's sake. I congratulate ROUND 2 on getting this kind of love affair rekindled in me as a builder. Thank you.
  14. Drew, I learned long ago (in particular if I am using nail lacquer) to buy up 3-4 bottles of the stuff even though I am only going to end up using 2-3. It's a good idea to have a little extra because you just never know. Most of the time though, when I am during graphic work, I use HOK and the stuff seems to last and last in the airbrush because you find that a little goes a long ways. Of course, I always get the 4-8oz pre-thinned and ready for the AB. A build like this one, I believe, will often take less paint than a one color vehicle. like this: Wonderful topic, by the way.
  15. Outstanding weathering, and setting it off on this base is an inspired touch. Thank you for sharing.
  16. Wow, that is one different and beautiful subject matter. It belongs in a museum, Harry.
  17. Amazing details. What got me was that headliner. LONG LIVE RUST.
  18. Beautiful work and outstanding results.
  19. Very well done. That color really makes this model stand out.
  20. Fantastic build so far. I look forward to seeing it assembled.
  21. Great to see you back mulling over some new styrene, Watson!
  22. LOL, when you are done shoveling, Harry, feel free to come over and get the crumbs off the Lab-RAT-ory. We got a little bit of it here in North Florida last night and we don't know what to do with it.
  23. This thing would fit perfectly down here in Flo-ri-da. Great job.
