  2. I also finished up the pass side door panel............and if you look at it, i totally goofed it! i cut the tan panel the wrong way! LOL hey, its ok, its a ratrod! more to come bryan

  9. here ya go clay...... the bottom ones are dowels with clips attached to them for small parts...... the center is the chopsticks with double sided tape, and the uppr ones are dowels with larger clamps for big parts.......ive been using them forever, and they work great. and theyre really cheap to make! hope it helps cheers bryan
  10. i also use dowel rods and wrap them with tape, with the sticky side out....... or if it is something that you wont see the other side of i will glue a small piece of tubing to it, and i have clamps attached to dowels that i use to hold them while painting............gimme a min, and ill get you a pic of what i use....... bryan
  11. i usually use some chopsticks with double sided tape on them to hold parts. i would paint one side, let it dry very well, and then shoot the other side... nice start, love the whitewalls cheers bryan

  15. thanks guys! richard, "blue dots" are something people used to add to their taillights to make them look a bit different, they were colored inserts, and i believe you will drill a hole in the light, and then add the dot to it.......im not positive about drillin the hole, im just guessin. it was popular in the 60`s n 70`s..... bryan

  19. thats about it for me tonight fellas, I didnt realize it, but ive been at the bench for nearly 10 hours today! my first post of the day was at 12:08......time flies when your havin fun! hopefully i can do it again tomorrow. thanks for all the comments. cheers bryan
  20. nice start! BMF is tricky, just make sure you use a brand new #11 blade, and let the blade do all the work, try not to push on it, and you should be ok.....once you get the hang of it, you`ll never paint trim silver again. cheers bryan
  21. not to hijack your thred or anything........ heres some wood i did a few years ago, believe it or not, i shot this thing in a couple colors of tan, and all the woodgrain was done with a SUPER sharp colored pencil, then i shot it with flat clear.......whaddya think? cheers bryan
