  1. ok i`m sitting this one aside for just a bit.......i know this is gonna shock everyone but, im gonna try my hand at shiney! its been a long time since i have done anything shiney, so stay tuned for what ive got cookin. just think "pro touring"......."mopar"..........."Hemi" thats all im sayin now. first up will be the paint job, to make sure i dont totally screw it up! ill start a new thread for it wheni get rolling on it. i am gathering parts now, and i found a really cool cold air intake that i am gonna scratchbuild! tune into the new thread when i start it! cheers bryan

  12. you bet cranky! no eye candy tonight tho, i went back to work today, after a year of sittin on my butt! put in 12 hours and im beat.... carhub, when i get a chance, i will do a tutorial on the salt technique, unless cranky has one done already? cranky? bryan

  14. thanks guys!! carhub, to get that this rust i put table salt on the primer before i shoot the top color, the let it all dry and scrub it off with a toohbrush. is your build posted? ill check it out.... cheers bryan

  17. after a couple different washes, some floquil rust and baking soda....... lookin nasty now! now its on to the powders, and sealer......... stay tuned bryan

Daniel: ill just have to make the front of the rad, now that you can see through the grille. ill probably just cut one up from the parts box. ok, as promised cranky.........the salt is off! time to paint the running boards black, and then get started on the washes and powders. im also gonna cut basswood strips for the wooden floor in the bed.... thanks for lookin! bryan

  21. i finally hit it with some salt, and shot the light green on it..... sure is ugly aint it? and the grille..... i went a little heavier than i usually do with the salt, but i wanted alot of primer/rust showin thru..... thats all for now, ill let it dry a bit and knock the salt off with a wet toothbrush. thanks for lookin!   22. shot some primer on the fender unit, and the grille...... shot a little green on the engine as well. not the correct green, but close enuff. more to come, stay tuned, thanks for lookin! bryan
