Sad day for this hobby

Bob, knowing Dan the way I did, I can tell you he loved it! He thought a lot of you and that I know for sure. One of the small things I will miss, is that when he bought collections and pieces and stuff, if there was odd weird or pieces of Mopars, be it trucks cars or just bits and pieces, EVERY time I hit a show, he had a "Chris' Bag of Mopar Junk" that he gave me. He was like a brother to me and was instrumental this year when I went through a divorce in keeping me from losing my mind. I'll miss him a bunch and as I said, there is a BIG hole in my life now. -
For those who knew him, Dan Morgan of the Magic City Car Modelers passed away at 3:20 this morning, I know some of you here knew him. He was a great friend and you could not meet a better ambassador for this hobby. The man was a great friend and was a groomsman at my wedding. There is a big hole in my life today. Chris Louden

For me personally, several stand out, but the neatest, coolest model car I have ever seen would have to be Bill Geary's Charger Daytona, ANd his 57 Vette is AWESOME! Kenny Reeves' Super Cat is still one of my favorites. Charlie Ryder's Chevelle racecar is astounding! Ken Hamilton's Camper Diorama is an INCREDIBLE piece, takes HOURS to see all the little details. Hollywood Jim's....Truck, for lack of a better word, that he sent to B'Ham for the post WWIII theme group. If you haven't seen this, there IS NO WAY to describe it!!!! Those are the first ones that come to my mind but I am sure I could come up with SO MANY more.

69 Revell Charger, 426 Hemi with low profine supercharger, wheels from the Revell 59 Corvette, Paint is House of Kolor black pearl metallic with the black top and flat black hood stripes. Headers are made of solder. The car also has the first set of eat belts I have tried to use. I had to make front spindles out of the originals and change mounting positions and de arch the rear springs. I also made frame connectors and front sway bar for the car.

? for you MOPAR experts

That is WRONG!!!!!!!! The engine code was U in 74 and the 440 was rated at 280 HP. The engine should be a light blue with an ORANGE SINGLE snorkel Air Cleaner. -
Oh I'll take a little of that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome...sns¬ag=1 Mopar has always marched to the beat of their own drum! These are but a few examples, from yesterday AND today that prove at least ONE manufacturer is willing to take chances and not build a car that looks like EVERYTHING else on the road! From the original Charger in 66 and 67, The awesome 69 Charger Daytona and 70 Plymouth Superbird. NOBODY but Mopar could have built and sold a car that outlandish! The classic second generation Charger right through to the current generation Ram trucks, not the least of which is a truck powered by a Viper Driveline and is capable of a GOVERNED 155 MPH!
