  1. If you want to see how this hood fits the Italeri 378, here is a 367 I'm working on right now. I've used the kit hood hinges. The cab is moved 4 scale inches rearward. The steering shaft and underhood piping for exhaust and air cleaner has been lengthened also. Tim
  2. Eric, Looks great! Note to builders: The side skirt on the hood behind the fender needs to be tapered towards the fender. someoneforgot to tape the leading edge when he made the hood A hit with sandpaper will do the trick. Tim
  3. RMR and Modelhaus don't seem to have big truck related parts. AITM's products are nicely cast. Tim
  4. Nice progress. I like the steerable from axle. Tim
  5. Thanks! I sent the dash and a set of door panels to Eric at P&P. Tim
  6. Um.. I should have chosen my words better.. "false rumor" ? Wouldn't that be a rumor? Tim
  7. This is a false rumor. The early production kits of the Road Boss had an issue with the spoke section of the wheel. They are in the process of running replacement parts for the this. This has absolutely no effect on any future kits. This was a production problem that was discovered after the kits were shipped and has no bearing on other AMT truck kits such as the Diamond Reo or White-Western Star. Information: Straight from the source 10 minutes ago. Tim
  8. 353 info... just look here: Scroll down to near the bottom One pic here The Revell of Germany 353 is way off. 353 does not and never did have a tilt hood. The hood is a butterfly hood. The fenders in the kit are shaped like KW fenders instead of Peterbilt fenders. The majority of 353's were construction and few if any were built with sleepers (although sleepers were available). Anything you need to know about Peterbilt is probably on one of the pages on my site TimsTrucksjust go to the contents page, then click on one of the dozen or so Peterbilt pages. Tim
  9. Mark, The first was the prototype displayed at the MidAmerica Truck Show in 2010. None have been built yet.. think of mine as a fantasy model. Tim
  10. Kostas, Can you resend? I don't see anything that came through. You can try mackinac359@yahoo.com too. Tim
  11. Kostas, Thanks! The tanks are Plastruct tubing and end pieces. Read your mail? Did you send me an email? Tim
  12. I like it. Well done. Tim
  13. Great work! Do you have a large supply of Evergreen/Plastruct on hand at all times? Tim
  14. Good luck on your project ! Tim
  15. Progress Update Lots of work to go. As always, addition pics on the workbench page on my site Timstrucks.com Tim
  16. Oh yeah! The trailer is a great starting point for a project like that. Tim
  17. I prefer it as the short truck-body tanker. Here's an unchromed version on a 1/24th scale Italeri Peterbilt 378 chassis. Tim
  18. No airbrush for me - good old rattle can spray paint. I use Duplicolor automotive paints for most projects. Tim
  19. Here's a little exercise in slicing and dicing Italeri and Evergreen plastic. I'm converting the regular cab to an Ultracab daycab with the new extended cab option. Tim
