  1. You can almost hear the tones drop calling it out. Tim
  2. Kostas, The painted airbags.. technically it is correct for a truck that hasn't made it very far from the factory. The air bags are painted. They used to mask them off but discovered the paint comes off of them quite soon after the airbags are flexed anyway eliminating the need for masking. Just a bit of trivia... Tim
  3. The green looks great in the pics.. does it look different to your eye (maybe natural light?) Tim
  4. The headliner would be off-white beige from the top of the doors all the way around. The instrument panel would be matte black. As Ben suggested, black or dark brown for the door panels, dog house, seats and sleeper side/back padding. The bunk can be any color you think a blanket and pillow could be. Optional colors for KW at the time: Black, red, green, brown. The Splendor interior had the seats in a red/tan red/tan red/tan striping. (several colors available, I used the red/tan for explanation). Tim
  5. I like that you even added the "owner operator" badge under the door windows. Tim
  6. Buy the kit, eliminate the wrecker portion and build it as a tractor. The sleeper will be the small Freightliner/Generic sleeper unless you could find the larger sleeper for the kit, or buy a resin daycab rear wall panel for it. Tim
  7. Jim B, Nice Transcon version ! Tim
  8. I like it! Good work on the weathering. Tim
  9. I did the majority of the box-art models for Lindberg on the Dodge..(green with flatbed, white tractor and Skelly tanker) even after all of those, I still find the kit very challenging. The worst part is the door fitment. If you must have operating doors - then you have to be really really REALLLLY patient with the finicky hinges. Test fit everything. Twice. Once you realize the kit will test your frustration levels, it will test them again. With all that said.. I still like the kit and the finished model. I really want to build one as a flat bed combining the AMT Ford C600 stake truck kit. This one was built from an original IMC/Testors kit that ModelKing had This one was built from a partial built kit I bought in '02 The doors don't open on this green tractor. I built this from parts back in '01 or 02. This Skelly L700 and the tanker were built from fresh kits. I seem to remember gluing the doors shut long before painting it? The 1st run of the tractor with flatbed and car for a load that were sold through WalMart were full of flash. An unbelievable amount of flash. The later runs didn't have the flash, and the plastic was more white than the washed out white of the early run. Tim Nice idea for load ! A matched set all the way around. Tim
  10. That would be T&T trucking out of California. Tim
  11. Nice! Looks like a California fleet.. T&T ? Tim
  12. Hessel, Nice combination of trucks. Tim
  13. How'd I miss the finished pics? You nailed it! Tim
  14. That's a nice combination of kits and colors. Tim
  15. Looking forward to seeing the photos. Tim
  16. I love the thread on the Big Sticks. To think that in the 70's we thought AMT had made that wrecker body up themselves. I spoke to Don Heinz about 4 years ago about the his wreckers. At the time he said they hadn't built any in a while of the big stick - the last one at that time was on a Transtar II cabover. Tim
  17. Ideas are always good to share - they can inspire others. Tim
  18. Nice shade of blue. Tim
  19. So far so good! I like the 'scoop' air conditioner. Tim
