  1. Some modifications will be needed, interior parts are different, cab mount a bit different. The Revell hood is a tad wider than the AMT cab, but since you're reworking it into a 351 narrow nose, this won't be an issue. Tim
  2. 351 and 281 are the same cab - the difference being the 351 is a tandem drive and 281 is a single drive. The Duel Peterbilt is/was a 281 with a tag axle. The Revell Peterbilt 359 will require extensive modifications to the cab to make the smaller windshields, lower roof (by 4 inches), squared door corners, small back window, narrow nose hood and radiator. Check Ebay for an AMT Peterbilt 359 kit #T500 or T500-500 - even a junker kit - just for the cab. This will save you a lot of modifications. Tim
  3. Nice! I see you even have the engine shut-down control on the shift tower. Tim
  4. The cab corner deflectors are round tube cut and sanded.
  5. A discussion on Hank's Truck Pictures forum about the Peterbilt cabbed Hayes Clipper COE's got me wanted to build another one. I had previously built one about 6 years ago scratchbuilding the grille and surround. This time I had the finely detailed etched metal grille, logos, and pieces from Spaulding Trading and Shipping to work with. Raw Cab Chassis built and cab main color applied Testing to see if I liked the black bumper better than the chrome one Ruined windshield? Nope Assembled and painted frame The finished Clipper - looking like it is sitting on the dealer lot waiting its first owner. All three of the Hayes Clipper COE's I've built More pics and information on the build is on This page. Thanks for looking! Tim
  6. The Lindberg 359 is 1/20th scale. Originally issued as a toy-kit, some reworking has been done to make it a bit less toy. It is curbside. The detail on the cab/hood/sleeper is nice. The mirrors aren't right. The headlights aren't right either. With some scratchbuilding the lights and mirrors could be made more accurate. The ones on the Lindberg site were built box stock. Click Here and scroll about halfway down the page for more photos of the 359s. When the kit is officially released, I want to rework one into a 379. The cab has more of a 379 look to the windshield. The kit has the potential to build a nice Peterbilt. Tim
  7. You guys are gonna catch up to me on building Peterbilts! I love your decal stripes and graphics. Tim
  8. Looks good to me! Tim
  9. Maybe it's the kit.. I modified one back in '07, small sleeper, shorter hood, painted it white, nope, then dark red metallic, didn't like the paint, stripped it and there it sits in the box. Are you going to stay with the black and white scheme? Nice work on the sleeper. Tim
  10. Andy How about Younger Brother of Duel? I like your weathering. Tim

  15. Rebuilds can be enjoyable and frustrating at the same time. You're off to a good start. Tim
  16. Here's an update: Cab painted white, body, winch and frame painted gray. Yellow stripe added to the cab. Since this photo was taken I've painted the weatherstripping, applied Bare Metal Foil chrome to the grille shell, air cleaner brackets and the door jambs. Stay tuned! Tim
  17. J The rims are from www.kitformservices.com in the UK. A bit pricey due to the exhange rate, but the quality is top notch. Mo'Luminum is indeed still in business. Here's a link to some of Jamie's items and contact info: Mo'Luminum Many of Mo'Luminum's items are available from Sourkraut at: Sourkraut Tim
  18. Charles Those real aluminum wheels just look, well, real. No worrying about the finish there! Tim
