  2. Tim Contact me off board at mackinac359@yahoo.com Tim
  3. Unable to get the license for the use of the name. Tim
  4. Most of the truck kits were built by Ted Taylor in the United Kingdom as AMT was at that time owned by Matchbox.
  5. Kurt, boy that DM of yours looks cool! Tim
  6. Yes! Buy one! I'd say mid-late 70s. The kit originally came out in '75. It has the newer dash compared to the DM600 and 800. You could backdate the R600 with the dash from the DM600 and update the DM600 with the R's dash. Tim
  7. That backwards wheel issue was on the original issue boxart from the early 70s! Tim
  8. I just finished this and am awaiting good sunlight for outdoor photos. This will be featured in an upcoming TruckersCorner in Model Cars magazine. The upcoming reissue of the AMT Mack R600 (Stevens International limited run) is another welcomed reissue. I stretched the frame on this one, added resin wheels and sleeper box from AITM and made the door signs on the computer - printing them on Bare Metal Foil decal paper. Additional photos are on my site at TimsTrucks.com Thanks for looking. Tim
  9. Edison NJ - Model Rectifier Corp, the importer of Italeri model kits will be importing a limited run of Italeri kit #746 Peterbilt 378 kits this summer. The kit will have some subtle changes, included a freshened box art minus the green dragons, corrected text on box side (doesn't say that Peterbilt is based in Washington state), new decal sheet with chassis labels and a company name for the door. The kit will be molded in white instead of blue. Stevens International is the distributor. Be sure to let your hobby shop know you want yours! MRC is very interested in Italeri and Revell of Germany reissues and is testing the waters with the 378 kit. You know I'll be buying my share! Tim
  10. Looks nice. I agree, the 5th wheel needs to be stripped of the chrome. Tim
  11. Looks good. Very typical LN dump truck, there is one here that is an early 70's still running around. Tim
  12. To avoid the wrinkles on visors, install it when painting, then foil it after the paint has cured. This way it won't flex when you're rubbing the foil on. Tim
  13. Stephen Your 359 turned out very nice. Tim
  14. To clarify an underlying issue: www.truckmodeler.com was not owned by Dan, he used the domain name and ran the site when I no longer had the time for it. The domain name is owned by me and will continue to be. Now Jim Brown is hosting Truckmodeler.com. Tim
  15. Looks like it just came from 1976 ! Tim
  16. Cool! I love daycab COE's. Tim
  17. Tim The headlamps are painted. The lighting? Thank the sun for that! Tim
