  1. Chris Your friends 352 is very nice. Very crisp stripes. Tim
  2. I've swapped many of these from kit to kit. Each need a few modifications to fit properly and to provide the proper ride height. I haven't used the ALF on anything. Tim
  3. Johnny That is going to look great! Tim
  4. Chris You mention water damage to your hobby room. What happened? Tim
  5. Scott I was originally thinking a fleet truck, but somehow the bells-whistles and doo-dads have crept into the plan. We shall see how this turns out. Tim
  6. Of course it is a Peterbilt. I'm building a 2004 378 SBFA with the 'newer' hood and the holder cab doors and mirrors. I'm using a Revell of Germany PB 377 and a resin hood cast from my master pattern by Spaulding Trading and Shipping. The color is Duplicolor Ford light blue metallic. Tonight I'm working on filling the visible seams on the fuel tanks, building battery and tool box covers and some other items. I don't quite know what the final outcome will be with this other than it will be a tractor. UPDATE! FINISHED 7/11/07 I decided to go with a fancy road tractor. So far all of my SBFA trucks have been construction or straight jobs. Loosely based on a 378 SBFA seen in a photo on www.hankstruckpictures.com. Mine has light bars, air cleaner lights, bumper lights, fog lights, spot mirrors, sleeper roof stainless trim, rear of sleeper window complete with visor and the drivers seat has a "sheepskin" cover (okay, it is tan/beige acrylic paint applied in gobs to create the sheepskin look). The above photo is the RH frame mounted air tank covered in Bare Metal Foil. The fuel tank ends were also sanded and covered in BMF masking the seam. More pics on my site www.timstrucks.com Thanks for looking! Tim
  7. Craig The T&T truck photo was taken by Brad Wike who owned the truck (several of them several years ago). Lived in California? I've never lived there.. only visited once in '75. (I'm a cheesehead mostly) Tim
  8. "..Anyone interested in an Italeri Pete 378?" he says..       Tim
  9. Cool idea with the front tires ! Tim
  10. Split favorites... 1969-1979 and 1999-present. Tim
  11. This is why many of my hoods are fixed shut. I'd rather the model look right than have a working feature. Tim
  12. Yep.. the 70's look for sure. Tim
  13. The Pete looks great! Tim
  14. Jeff The wrecker project looks good. Tim
  15. Dave When Italeri tooled up the 377 and 378 kits (1996) the 377 was a HOT seller for Peterbilt. It was popular. Across-the-pond they must think the 377 is still being built and selling like hotcakes, or they can't tell the difference between a 386 and a 377. The 385 must have really confused them as it was similar to a 377. The 378 kit is the kit they should have kept producing. Swap the stand-up sleeper into the 378 kit and it would have been ideal. Then tool a 379 127" hood and grille and we'd have been happy. Now with the 379 no longer in production, the chances of a model of it being tooled up are slim. We need more people writing letters to Italeri asking for modern (2006+) units. Tim
  16. Chris I buy them direct from KFS and end up paying more because of the money conversion. Right now, KFS is about the only reliable or currently in business supplier of resin wheels of this sort serving the USA. Tim
  17. Josh Very few of the Deelegant 387's have been cast. The wait time is excruciatingly long. Tim
