  1. Looks like it is coming along nicely.
  2. Thanks for the info Tim. The ones you have built look great.
  3. That is exactly what I wanted to hear, you are the man. You just made my day.
  4. I would love some of those but wouldent pay that much. Not that they are not worth it, I just dont have the money.
  5. I just bought this online. I have never built it. What can you guys tell me about it. Biggest thing I want to know is how hard is it to make in to a day cab?
  6. Sucks to hear about the paint issues but looks good to me none the less. Stupid question. What is the photo etch parts. I know what they look like but what is the proces involved in making them?
  7. This is one of my favorites to build. As with any kit though it involves a lot of sanding. since they reissued it they are all over ebay for cheap.
  8. This is one very cool looking project. I cant wait to see it finished.
  9. I will remove it if you want. Happens to be my favorite log truck model. Not in any way trying to take credit for it. Can I ask what kits you used to build it? Thanks. I am hoping to make it as origenal as possible but like I have said, painting is not my strong suite.
  10. Anyone got an AMT Peterbilt 359 or 357. Actually does any one have the truck in the pic?
  11. This a pic of the truck my dad owned. Its a 70's 359. It had an 8V92 Detroit when we got it but dad swapped in a Cat 3406. I am going to try and build as closly to this as i can. Only thin that realy worries me is how I am going to do the paint job. Any advice. This is just a pic of the reissue log trailer wheel. It is a much better product over all. I am glad they put some care in to it.
  12. Decided to build another logger. This time I am going to build one of my dads. I was going to post pics but they are loading slow. Found an AMT Peerless log trailer on Ebay for $18 shipped. Its a reissue but to tell ya the truth I like it better then my originals. The wheels are especially better. I will post the pics in the morning as I am letting them load right now. I still need a truck and I am looking for the AMT Peterbilt Wrecker or day cab. I have found a few but they are worth their weight in gold on ebay. If anyone can make be a good deal I would like to do it
  13. Who is your host server out of curiosity.
  14. Wow that really sucks Tim. I hope its up and running soon.
  15. This will be nice when its done. I love a Western Star.
  16. One thing I would love help on is this. I have no idea how to get started doing weathering.
  17. Cant wait to see this one done. Looks very cool.
  18. That looks awesome. I am a huge log truck fan as not many people build them plus I love International so I am very pleased with that model.
  19. I actually used one of the straws from a JB Weld liquid metel kit from AutoZone. It was the right shape and size. I just cut it down and painted it up. Nothing special.
  20. I have noticed that. Most of the log trucks I have seen modeled dont have them. Always wondered why. Yep. Still a work in progress though. Its eaier for me since I grew up in a logging family and was around these trucks my whole life.
  21. Thanks for all the reply's. Tim I love your site. Amazing work you do. When are you going to do a logger. The logs are cut from a Ceder sapling I had growing on my land.
