I got board yesterday so I went through the parts box to see if I could scrounge the parts to build a drop axle for my blue truck. I am happy with what I came up with but I know it is not accurate and perfect so go easy on me. You all know I am not a scratch builder. Any way the materials used were the front axle from the Revell w900 snap kit. Air bags and suspension from an AMT Ertl Pete. Two hole budd wheels from ebay and the tires are from the peerless log trailer kit. It went togter pretty easy. I used some left over frame from the California hauler to mock it up with. I can see I am going to need to leangthen the frame on the blue Pete.

Looks amaizing. A true master of scratch building you are.

Cool build idea. I have not actually seen one of these trucks put together yet. I think that they have some of the best detail in their parts thought. Good luck.

Yay I have a Rack coming for the truck. Anyone know what is the best lowboy kit. I am not a scratch builder.

All in all is this worth paying the extra money for or are we better off with old 378 kit

After looking at it more I agree that it is probably used for dumping trailers as it looks like it will lift rather high.

Looks like a very adjustable hight 5th wheel to me. Not sure what it is needed for though.
