  1. I have a '72 on the bench almost ready to paint B1 Blue....That's the powder Blue used in '72 And '73 for those of you that don't know that by the paint code....I just painted a '72 MPC Duster in that color....So I'll have a matching pair...To display when I finish both cars...Is it December yet?....I can't wait to get my hands on about 8 to 12 of these when they come out.
  2. Wow, Now that's one nice looking Caprice.....Perfect color combination!
  3. I thought so, I helped on the master for the convertible Cutlass...That side trim was a bear to do..I can't wait to see this done.
  4. Nice Project....I'll be watching......The photos look like the Darts a '73 or '74 model year.
  5. 4 cylinder '69 Nova, Now I'll be sure to watch this build.....I've been thinking about doing the same project.....I just have to find the '63 Nova kit for the 6 to use....What color is that on the body?
  6. And trust me the parts are top notch, No disappointments with Missing Link's Stuff.....But I would love to see those wheelcovers also.
  7. Now that's one nice looking van....Great Job !
  8. Cool save, I would be thankfull to your friend for this one.....Beautiful build.
  9. I built two like this....The other one in Wedgwood Blue.
  10. No email me, You have my email address.....I have to have one......!!!!!
  11. No that wasn't the cause....Stress from taking care of my mother....She had a stroke last April.....And it's a pain dealing with her.....She's a mess even with hospice care.
  12. Call me Crazy....But I absolutely love these Monaco's......I have around close to thirty of them in my kit stash.....VERY cool looking build.
  13. Now that's the nicest build I have ever seen of that kit.....I have one I've been working on ...Mine will have the flat hood and a smallblock in mine...I was looking at the same color combination on mine.....Now I really want to build it in this color combo.....Great Build.
  14. I owned 12 at one time.....3 Les Pauls.....2 Explorers .....3 SGs A Dean MLX....the Dime Bag Darryl version and one in natural wood...So 2 of those.....And my prized ones I still own.....A '63 Firebird....In Natural wood....And 2 '64s.....One in Firebird Red.....And the other in Frost Blue......That was my main Axe before I retired from music last year.....11 Gibson's......Alot of money tied up in them. I held onto the Firebird's......But sold the rest . Last year I also had all my hair cut off....35 inchs long...Now I just have a normal haircut...My wife's a hair dresser....I donated my hair to locks of love.
  15. well after having an Angina attack....And seeing a Cardiologist Tuesday .....And findin out.....I have NOTHING wrong with my heart....After worrying about it for 8 years.....It was as if I got another chance to live a long productive life....Me and my Wife Kelly are ecstatic......So now I need to calm down . Anyways...I still have alot of ideas for parts...I just couldn't let down my other family ....You guys on here.....Things do happen in life for a reason....And it's to short to worry about trivial stuff.....Here's a tip for anyone building the '71 Scamp remove 1/4 inch off the back mid quarter...doing so little mod will in fact make the body exactly like the real car....That's how much longer the body is...Then it should be...Also....When it comes to the grill for the car....Cut the Duster 340 grill out of the chrome part....And do the same to the Valiant/Scamp grill.....And now you have the insert to use in the Chrome part....And also....It's alot easier to detail the grll..
  16. Yesterday...I got parts from Missing Link...2 '71 Demon hood's.....The '71 Duster/Demon seats....A set of the beautiful '72-'76 Dodge wheelcovers...And a '72 Charger bumper conversion set, Grill, Taillight insert , And Taillights...Those parts are the nicest pieces I have ever seen...I want another set....Now I can build one of my favorite year Chargers....The wheelcovers are going on that build.....The conversion does come with plated bumpers....But I can cut the '71 stuff out of the kit parts.
  17. Steve, I have contacted Kevin about it...Same answer....The real concern I had was if the part was molded poorly....I wanted no reflection on my craftsmanship.....As I taking extreme pride in my work.
  18. Thanks for sharing this....Now to get a set of the decals....And start on mine....I have a lot of 71'-72' Demon resin kits....So I have to build a prostock version.
  19. And I pulled the plug on it...So anyone who wants a '72 Demon grill .....Ask Kevin at Missing Link....If they still make them.....I have a 73 Dart Sport grill in the works....And also a 73 Plymouth Scamp....So if you want to see them cast....Be nice......I am sure a few would be willing to cast them for me.....
  20. sorry....I'm a complete moron by getting upset over some counterfeit part of my work....I seen it on there....And so did the person I sent the parts to...But I'm wrong.....But what do I know....I spent the time making the thing......FORGET IT.
  21. My '72 grill was made from an original MPC '71 grill a '67 Toronado custom grill....And the marker lights were made up of 14 pieces....Of styrene strips and sheet plastic....And I also added four horizontal lines in the Toronado grill.....So no I didn't steal the pile they call a '72 Demon grill....Mine is 80% scratchbuilt. And looks nothing like the AFX PART.
  22. No but neither does a lot of people making resin parts.....But missing the point....I don't want some moron stealing my work.
  23. The R&R kit is a '71, But even they put copyrights in the kits they produce, example Team R&R 1994 in a '70 Dart kit I own.
  24. When you do masters ....I always put a very small hair like flaw that's unnoticed unless you really look hard,.....Plus looking at the grill. l am 100% positive its a copy of the one I made......I'm looking out for you resin guys doing all the work.....I'm just waiting to see what else is done like this.....Now when the 71' Demon comes back.....And Missing Link does decide to rerelease the '72 bumper/grill....Well their sales may suffer because of this kind of stuff.....I put alot of hours into that part.....And once again....One person should be casting the parts. Unless giving permission saying otherwise..
