engine looks great allready rich
personally not diggin those wagon wheels, i liked the steelies better
but if you do go with them you need a flashy paintscheme
maybe a high gloss electric blue with the kit stripes ?
(or if you like what i did on mine i can whip you up a set)
Hi Eelco, you not keen on them wheels?......i think they suit the car.I
Still gona have a go with diffrent wheels to see if i can come up with somthing a little better.
Green is still the winning colour so far.
The engine could be loads better, and I'll hold you up on your offer mate for decals.

I built the one I had to replicate my Dads 66 1:1 ride.
Yes, The engine is the same..
It depends on you how you like to build.
ProStreet, Stock, Custom, to Replicate one you saw somewhere.
Or all of the above
WOW!!...that's one nice build that rod.and them steelies are nice!!!

Seems to me that if your going with those deep dish steelies a high gloss paint job would be mismatched.
If I were tobuild it I would keep the steelies and go with a flat black paintjob (ever seen the deathproof chevy?)
I know not everyone likes that "unfinished" look but I think it would work well with those times
(As a matter of fact, just mail me the kit and ill build it for you)
lmao!!!....ok Eelco ill have a think on that one my friend????
rich
Since you're going to build it you may be interested in this full build article I did for Internet Modeler back in October of 2002....

its a great kit and i think box stock would be nice aswell
now, if you want to spice it up there are plenty of ways to do it
i have one on the bench where in trying to replicate a hotwheels car
i scanned those yellow decals and turned them into marbled panels
then i painted the car duplicolour metallic black (with a german silver belt)
the interior on mine is red and the wheels are porsche
i wouldnt change anything on the engine , it comes with a nice set of headers and a great hemi
only one i have ever seen with a ALTERNATOR BRACKET
that looks good Eelco,im thinking all black with the wheels from the amt joker goon/police car?????????
-
That car looks pretty good everywhere But on that box art pic.
agreed brett, the box art along with the decals look naff!!!!!!
-
Agreed
ok factory stock? possible............

i have just been having a sort out.and i have a revell 1:25 Plymouth gtx.its got a black picture on the front, with yellow gtx decals.well as I've never really done much on models, apart from build from the box,and do a nice paint job,and add different wheels.ok on cars that i like, chargers, camaro, mustangs ect,but never took much of a liking to these 67's.
so what would you guys do with it? i would like to hear your ideas, how to make it look better.what wheels, paint scheme, interior ect would you use.
thanks,
rich

the wheels are Aoshima's Raguna's with what looks like Satco Bridgestone Desert Duelers on the spare, not sure what's on the rear axle
I luv these kind if trucks, and the baja trucks aswell.......can't wait to see more of it.

That's so you can read it if the driver flips it!
He's just making sure we are awake. Sharp eye!

G'day Rich, I like your shaker-hood idea & yeh you're right it doesn't sit too well, like it would on a Cuda or Challenger, but you should give it another shot. I've mated a shaker to a WIP I'm currently working on, a Daytona Charger. I cut out a whole section, surrounding the shaker, from a spare cuda hood & grafted it onto the Charger hood.... Lot's of putty & sanding but I think I've got it right now...
Cheers & good luck, Cliffo
Hi cliff, great minds a?......if you look at the pics I've done that.cut out the centre from the cuda and grafted it into a dodge hood.i think its warped because I've sanded so much and it's gone really thin.
So I'm gona try with another hood and see how i go with that.
Rich
-
Thanks fellas,I'm not happy with the hood so I'm going to do another one.and thinking about it,I'm going to leave the line down the centre of the hood i think.

Fantastic build as always, Jeff!
thats nice
,but one little thing.the champion decal on the pasenger side front bumper is upside down.
rich
-
seems like that's how he lost his .... uh .... everything!
...wow i luv it!!.....where did you get the dice from?
rich
-
OK well got the hood finally sorted to take the hemi cuda shaker......or so i thought.thee hood after allot of filling and sanding, seems to have bowed and its caused a bit of a gap,as you can see.
so its a case of what to do,to resolve the problem, and get it to fit properly.so for now here are some pics of what its going to look like.not sure weather to paint the hood black ,and have the shaker silver,or have the hood and shaker black.
thanks for looking, and comments welcome fellas..........

Looks good that niko I like the White stripe on the red paint work.
Can i just point one thing out without being critical.mabe you should think of using red or White primer next time you do red paint work.as the grey has made the red a little dark....but a nice build by far
