  1. Thank you very much Dan, I like the idea of the spoons, I will try that for sure. I will also wash the body and its parts down in dawn soap. I have just pulled out my AMT '76 Mustang II and well I'll let the photo's do the talking. Really do appreciate the help everyone. Nick
  2. Warm and Gloves, Thank You Guys very important tips. Nick
  3. Pete Thank You, I left them over night an wondered if I should/could give them a try today or if I should wait, I will give them a scrub and see what happens. Nick
  4. Just wondering how long is long enough and any tips I can get about using Super Clean for paint stripping. Thank You. Nick
  5. Will do Peter, and yes our little club is doing quite well, look forward to the Group 25 show in September, Nick
  6. Can I ask where the wheel covers are from? Beautiful build. Nick
  7. Thank you Skip, the Trans tunnel was molded with a bit of a texture I just used a bit of hi-build primer and shot it from a distance, then painted that black, the seats are flat black rubbed out. Nick
  8. Holy Jeez long time no update: Nick
  9. Added a bit to the body and started on the motor not too sure of the front pin stripe, but I do like the rear pin stripe The motor, 347 Strato Streak Tri-Power using the Block and other mix parts from this kit which I have a built up of, using the intake, and carbs from the AMT '69 olds 442 and parts box pontiac valve covers. http://images47.fotk...ons_0003-vi.jpg Nick Still more cleanup required on the motor
  10. Just working away, or maybe I'm Ram Roddin' anyway. Nick
  11. Started with the smaller parts, yes the whole body will be Black, Henry Ford said "Make it any color, so long as it's black", he was talking about the Model T's but, hey, if Henry said it, so be it. Nick
  12. Working on Paint today. Pictures to follow.
  13. I was gonna show a picture of the movie car but that was the only shot that came up right away, thought I better not. Stopped at Dailey Hobbies Twice on Friday, once after work and another time after Dinner because I forgot to get a few things I needed to finish current projects. Nick
  14. Finally Deceided on the Powerhouse for my Merc, it is the MOST obscure motor I could think of, a 1957 347 Cubic Inch Pontiac Strato Streak Tri-Power that's right 3-2 Barrels baby! Found a Pontiac Block from a built up Original release '36 Ford Coupe, as far as I know it was first released around '60 or '61. So that is my chosen plant for this beastie, 10.0.1 Compression, 310 HP and 400 LB/FT of Torque (with dealer installed cam ). Nick
  15. Pat we wish you could be here too. Kevin, the Cord came from Colin's collection (same one I got the started '57 chevy and Morris Mini) Randy gave it to Adam to mess with, will be mixed with a Monogram 67 Vette.
  16. Got this at Tonights Club Meeting, thinking Pedro's car in Up In Smoke, the "Love Machine" Nick

We Meet every Third Wednesday of Each and Every Month at the Dailey Hobbies Game Room in Whitby, 6:30-9:00 ish, 905-404-2100 Nick- Proud DAM Member.

  19. Okay thank you everyone stopped by Walmart on my way home from work and while walking down an isle spotted the Castrol Super Clean, didn't have time to grab a jug but will this weekend. Thanks Again. Nick
  20. Main problem as I outlined in my first post is availability in my area. Nick Super Clean is looking like the go to stripper so far.
  21. I'm just wondering which is more efficient at stripping paint and which I will be able to purchase locally (what stores sell each), I've always used DOT 3 and Easy Off for stripping paint but have decided to expand what I am using. As a modeller I like to continue to change and grow. Nick More questions to follow for sure. Edit: Other suggestions welcome also.
  22. I like it a lot Jim. Nick
  23. Can Hardly Wait to see! Nick
  24. Thanks Bill! Nick
