  1. It being acrylic what I have done in the past is fill your sink to just above the cap, place your bottle upside down and let in soak for a few minutes, then use a pair of pliers or what have you, you shouldn't have any problems, I've don it many times. Nick
  2. Got these two I guess Friday, they were sitting underneath my truck when I got home lastnight, bought these from a friend, both were sealed. Nick
  3. Finished a few parts: Started modifying the interior: And ran across a problem, compare the below door panel to the above. So Scratchbuilding some new door panels tonight. Nick
  4. Hmmm, might have to check mine. Nick
  5. It's a Snap Kit, if it's fine then why say that it was the worst model mistake you made. Nick
  6. Whats wrong with the CV from Lindberg I built one and have 3 more to build, only thing I noticed as a flaw is the front wheels are not centered in the wheel wells. Nick
  7. Well my personal Opinion/ Experience, you usually purchase your lets say glue for more than one build, Hell I've got all kinds of different glues all purchased at different times and used on multiple builds, other supplies could be considered under the same thinking, so just how would you break down the cost of those said supplies? Nick
  8. Unfortunately Steve our schedule is every 3rd Wednesday of each month, A show however has never been talked about and might be worth considering. Nick
  9. Thanks Hugh and Jordan. Hugh, your very right, and with me replacing all kinds of parts on the 1:1 I also have seen things most wouldn't, Jordan, I'm lucky, not to many things I have to scratchbuild on this one. only things I can think of are Headrests, tonneau cover, Exhaust, A/C system, Portion of the Air Cleaner and a few mix detail items. Nick
  10. June 30th is approaching quickly and though it's sad to say I don't think I'll be making the deadline with both of my entries, I managed to finish the Jeep, but my wrecker keeps dragging on, anyway, this is the stage it is at. I Plan to finish before the year is out, after all If I don't it'll be 3 years in the making. Nick
  11. 305, Non Vortec, just the way I like it. Nick
  12. Oooooooh Bill that is Gorgeous, I love it, one of the best '40 Fords I've seen. Nick
  13. Sure was, Runs like new now. Threw a set or Champion Double Platinums in it and used my NAPA discount to get NAPA premium Cap & Rotor, already had the Champion silicone plug wires. Nick
  14. Thank you Luc and Jim, Anyway, progress in 1:1 and 1:25th 1:25th first: Did a loose mockup and finished off the tires, In september the 1:1 is getting a set of the Wranglers. 1:1, New Distributor cap & Rotor as well as Plug's and Wires. Reason why it was hard to start on damp or cold days. Distributor rotor was severely corroded Nick
  15. Thanks guys, actually Bill I'm owner #4, though the man who I bought it from had it from '95 on, but it has never been garaged, it's always been a winter driver, just has been very well maintained by all the previous owners and I plan to keep that tradition going. Nick
  16. Doing a replica of my new (to me) '93 Chevrolet Cheyenne C1500 pickup. Wanting it to be fairly well detailed so I have been working at it slowly, anyway: The 1:1
  17. Trial and Error and practice, that's the only way to get good at anything, I tried my first PE Mechanical Fan the other day, it was sort of hard and I had problems but it looks pretty darn good, Andy, Just Try, the worst you can do is make a mistake, the best you can do is surprise yourself. Nick
  18. These are from Pro-tech, Nice carbs are out their, For me it's the Belts and Pulleys and/or Intakes on most kits engine, the old Blob and 12" wide belt, Right now I'm replicating my truck and while the AMT 90 Chevy trucks were very well detailed for their time, that particular kit lacks quite a bit regarding the belts/pulleys, the kit includes an A/C Compressor on the Pulley's but no other A/C parts (Condenser, lines ETC), the Alternator is nothing more than a Chrome blob, and the Power steering looks nothing like the Power Steering pump you would find on the 305/350 in the real trucks, it also just a blob, yet in the kit they over detail other area's with super crisp engravings, to me that's just laziness. Rant over. Nick
  19. I've had a few "I need this for a project" Impulses and then got home and either A. Forgot or B. already had one with the exact same idea in mind (and full of the parts needed) Nick
  20. I got this bill today that made me giggle. Nick
