  3. Don't we all Tommy
  4. Well haven't done a whole lot. Fixed the scratch on the bed. Made up a set of period correct Cibie fog lights, for the front bumper. And I have been working on the light bar, I dipped it in Glass paint, Which I was given, I have amber, red and blue, great stuff for emergency lights, then I cut the tabs off the base, and BMFed it, and added a strip of BMF in the center or the lense, where it will have "HOLMES" on both sides in black, just like the real light bars Holmes offered with there beds, still need to make 2 rotators for inside the light.
  5. Worked on gluing the 3 piece exhuast into 1 before I paint it, Repaired my belts and pulley's. Nick
  6. Did the same thing with my '76 GMC Wrecker,Was gonna build straight out of the box with a few added details (Revell Snaptite Wrecker) next thing I know I'm cutting this, scraping this, smoothing this, swaping this, now it's a full detail '76 Sierra Grande K35 4x4 with a Holmes 480 Hi-Power mechanical dual boom wrecker bed and Holmes add on Wheel lift that works. and people wonder why I haven't finished anything lately. Nick
  7. Tommy that is A Beautiful Build, like all of yours, can't wait to see the '72 SS350. Nick
  8. That looks great, can't wait to see her wearing a coat of black. Black trucks are great. Nick
  9. Sorry Brian, thinking of building it something like this.
  10. It may be small, but it makes up for what it lacks in quanity by it's quality. There all opened, most by me, I like to see what they give me that it shown on the box. Not pictured because there currently somewhere between BC and Ontario, MPC '78 Dodge Sport (Monaco 2 door) and AMT '78 LRT (yes a 3rd one), there's also a Tamiya, mechanics, figures and accesories set I have also not pictured. I did however add a picture of the Sport. I used to be the builder who for a little under 4 years bought, then built what I bought. Needless to say my collection never really grew that much, but lately with learning new skills it takes me forever to finish anything, so I have plenty of unbuilts I bought with projects in mind. Not pictured also, around 50 Built ups/Junkers, awaiting Resto, or tear down. Some where gifts, hense them being not so much my style, but Heck anythings worth a shot. Inside the Daisy jeep box is 2 AMT '53 Ford Trucks, that are complete and unpainted but neither had a box. Same with the AMT '90 C1500 Stepside box, there's 3 '88-'93 GM trucks in there complete, 1 stepside, 1 short bed single cab, and 1 longbed single cab. I only had the Stepside box though. The Dodge Sport (I got a great deal becuase of the boxes condition, but it's Sealed inside) the rest. I'm proud of it. Nick
  11. Should have one by tommorow, Hopefully can pickup a can of Duplicolor Gloss black and some grey primer, I ran out just as I started another black truck
  12. Got these, I know that the mags aren't MCM's but there mostly about Truck kits, so I had to have them. The parts pack has around 105 parts to it.
  13. I suggested the Silver Sharpie because he's only working on his first model, took me till my 32nd model till I got the BMF thing down. Nick
  14. I've heard of People Using Silver Sharpie's but have never used them myself, but have used Black Sharpies for newer cars black trim. Nick
  15. Well most exuast systems contain more than 1 type of metal, but the majority of it is Aluminum, and Steel. I personally use Aluminum for the mufflers, and cats, and steel for the exhaust tubing. As for fuel tanks Being a Mopar Muscle guy myself, they had a habit of painting them a gold color, according to most Mopar sources. Hope this Helps and Welcome to MCM
  16. You know you have too much time when: you build a lego engine that'll get up to 1400 RPM.
  17. I always wondered if you could use brake line, and a brake line flaring tool. Nick
  18. I'd love it for GMC and Pontiac, would never have to google for hours again.

  23. Sounds like my area, except when they do around here they thing there made of gold, I'm not paying $12 for a AMT '64 impala that had a bath in glue and is missing all kinds of parts.

  25. Probley been blown outta the water here but, 1) First appearence in a newspaper, Had me and a '33 Ford done up like a gangster car holding a tommy gun and wearing a fadora. Give me a break I was 9 at a car show. 2) appearing in the local paper with the rest of my Auto Shop class after the local Chevy dealer bought us a new Two post lift and getting to put a brandnew Camaro SS up on that lift. 3) Having my grandfather pass down to me a 30-30 Winchester rifle that was his fathers. To me that meant quite a bit, considering someone offered my grandfather quite a bit for it in front of me and my grandfather said "No, I'm sorry but I'm keeping that in good hands" 4) My grandfather telling me his tools and Vehicles are mine when he passes, kinda made me a bit whiney thinking that he one day might not be around, but, but then to have a guy make a very generous offer for his truck, infact the guy said "Name your price I want that truck" and my grandfather saying "Sorry, it's Not my truck to sell, it's my Grandson's" that made me understand why he had kept the truck and kept it nearly mint. So they mint not be cool, to you, to me I think there pretty cool. Nick
