  1. Or even more astonishing are the parallels our current president shares with Adolf Hitler. Look at the backgrounds of his "czars." You don't even have to dig that deep, the curtain is right in front of everybody, all you gotta do is take a quick peek to see the horror show. I wish more people took a little gander, but they just can't be bothered. They take Obama in like a hippie does with a tab of acid.
  2. This may be so, but it doesn't mean its right. Too much of what goes on now is more about image than truth. I guess thats what I've been trying to get at with my last few posts. Mainstream media is corrupt and biased, Hollywood is biased and conjures up images of what they think you should accept as truth. Schools are biased, some more than others. Do you know how brainwashing works?
  3. Image does not equal truth, but I won't try to convince you of that, it sounds like you're convinced that it is and nothing will change your mind. Oh, and by the way, who REALLY killed the electric car?
  4. I don't think you're speaking my language... There was a big IF in my last post that you seemed to have missed, and IF you caught it you would see that I wasn't calling you any names, judging by what I now know about you. Also, the first post of mine you quoted wasn't even directed at you, so I don't see why you got all up in arms about it. For this reason, it seems to me that you are the uninformed one, not me... I could say something very insulting about your thick skin/battle of wits comment, but I don't think this should be a battle of wits, it's about bad decisions being made by our currently untrustworthy government. Please read my posts in full and understand them before you get so defensive, you'll see I'm not as bad a guy as you think. I think you were trying to be sarcastic with your "have a nice day" comment, but I return the kindness and wish you a nice day also!
  5. Thats awesome!!!
  6. I haven't called you anything yet. All I did was state a fact. If you like the volt, good for you, thats your right to choose. BUT, if you're going to be a Greenpeace activist and shove all your false beliefs down my throat WHILE using polluting ways to get your message across, then YES you are a hypocrite enviro-dork and you need to get a real job and help the country progress. We've respected the evils for way too long and its getting out of hand, I think there might need to be some damage done to get the point across. Life is rough, get a helmet, strap yourself in, and hang on! Oh, and get a thicker skin
  7. By "green" you mean more harmful to the environment than a Hummer. Hippie stands for hypocrite, and thats exactly what all these enviro-dorks are, and NOTHING MORE.
  8. Yes, but he broke ALL the records for our whole history, COMBINED. Yes, it would be his fault. Thats where respect for other people's money comes into play. This is something that SHOULD be common sense, but unfortunately isnt any more... I don't defend or approve of the war, nor am I against it. We the people have been lied to time and time again by our government and the mainstream media (which might as well be 1 entity), and I don't think very many people at all know exactly why we are over there. In an ideal world, I don't believe in war, BUT we do not live in an ideal world by ANY means.
  9. WE ARE NOT FREE. Am I going to be able to bow out of the ridiculous taxes that are going to pay for this giant BAND-AID?! No, because your "utopian" beaurocrats are going to keep voting on new laws/bills without even understanding what they ACTUALLY SAY. One Democrat was recently interviewed and asked about this very topic. He laughed, saying something to the effect that it would be ridiculous to read the bill, stating that fewer would get voted into law. Imagine that, people reading and understanding what a bill FULLY means, and deciding that its TOTALLY BACKWARDS and doesn't promote progress. What a concept. DEFINE NOTHING.
  10. It will take GENERATIONS to clean up the disaster the Democrats are CREATING right now.
  11. I didn't blame them for GM's mess, I blame them (Obama administration) for using OUR money to BAIL OUT a FAILING company. BIG difference.
  12. Not me either... It would have been a sad goodbye but thats what happens when you run a business into the ground. It is NOT the job of the public to keep GM running. <-- notice the PERIOD.
  13. Huh... I didn't know that, I guess I'm "Old School" yo
  14. all thanks to the Democrats in COMPLETE CONTROL. Ron Paul 2012!
  15. +1 primer is not necessary with enamel. I have since started using it just to straighten the body a bit better to get a nicer reflection, but it is NOT necessary for a nice paint job. I painted this Caddy with NO primer, I used Testors Green Metalflake enamel right over the white styrene. I didn't even clear it
  16. Super Clean is still available but it doesn't say Castrol on it anywhere. As Ddms said, it will remove just about anything, you just have to have patience with it. I left a body in all weekend before it fully stripped. My way of thinking is if something strips paint off in a few minutes, there must be a trade-off somewhere...
  17. or an AK..... Cool model!!!
  18. I cant wait to see where this one goes! Custom vans are awesome!
  19. I got a feeling this is gunna be a slow project as I've gotten a few new kits that are tempting me But, so far its chopped a scale 4" all around, shaved handles and frenched headlights, and the lowering blocks are as big as you can get without sitting on the leaf springs The floor section above the axle is cut out right now, I've started making a new raised section for that to accomodate the axle. I also have to do something with the rear wheelwells. I was just about ready to cut them and add a section to them, but I think making new slightly bigger tubs might be the way to go. I have those formed already and should be cutting the old ones out within the next few days. Also, I got rid of the upper trim on the side of the roof, B-pillar, and center post on the windshield.
  20. WOW that looks slick! Did you lower it too? The wheels look awesome on there
  21. I finished this kit in March and took it to the MassCar show in Taunton, MA. I hadn't touched a model, let alone finished one in at least 8-9 years, and this was a good refresher getting back into it. I scratchbuilt some suspension pieces (not very realistic at all, but fun) so the suspension is adjustable all the way around. This was my first time using an airbrush (I had to strip this body once!), first time using flocking and bare metal foil, and only 1 of a handful that I've actually FINISHED! These are the best pics I could get with my camera. The first couple pics show how the metalflake reacts to light, I got better pics without a flash..
  22. Castrol Super Clean, $11-$12 at the parts store and it stripped my model in a weekend. Check in on it periodically and aggitate it with a tooth brush or something not too abrasive. By the end of the weekend, all you should have to do is carefully clean out door lines and corners where the paint is thicker. I used the X-Acto to get those spots. This was the first thing I ever used to strip paint, and I got excellent results without hurting the plastic at all. It's all I'll ever use. I also keep a cup full of it to strip out my airbrush paint jars and eye droppers.
