  1. Here's a couple of pictures of the IH9400 that I took a month ago. I have made some progress beyond what you see here. I hope it doesn't take me a month to get new pictures up. I have been absent from my bench lately and have not been able to participate in any of the model groups/ forums. With it being summertime, vacations, and working for a department that is short staffed right now, I've been putting in a lot of time at work, 96-120 hrs a week. Work has also been busy. I have been to more vegetation fires this year than I went to last year and fire season has barely started. Call volume, plus recruit training, in service training, and on going projects have meant little down time or sleep at work and when I am home I am just flat out exhausted. So, I apologize for my absence and lack of comments on others work. I hope things will settle down later and I will be more interactive. In the meantime I am trying to squeeze a little modeling in here and there and trying to take advantage of the benefits of all the extra work.
  2. The LA County wrecker is a Western Star 4900 with a Century wrecker body. http://www.x635photos.com/displayimage-9-0.html
  3. Thanks. I have been slowly making progres. I will try to get some pictures up soon. My modeling and computer time greatly diminishes once Summer and fire season arrive.
  4. Coming along nicely Danmiel! I like the way it looks with the doubles.
  5. Nice work on the A-Car. Nice paint too.
  6. Here is the latest on my bench. International 9400. Hood mastered and casted by Leo Vanderstelt. Chassis and cab are from a Paystar kit. Wheels and tires were also casted by Leo.
  7. Thanks. Paint design is not from any particular fleet. I plan to scratch build a trailer for it when I finish some of the other in progress projects on my bench.
  8. A long wheel base COE! I like where this is heading. Nice paint.
  9. Mark, that vintage of Cummins would have been beige. Although Peterbilt had most of the engines they installed painted white up until 1985.
  10. Very nice clean build. I like the two tone paint and better yet on a COE!
  11. Thanks guys. Leo, that would be a lot of fiber Andre, I use telephone wire that I coil around styrene rod. When the trailer is done I'll add gladhands. Bryan, the mud flaps are made from a whie vinyl material. Kostas, if it stops raining I will have less time for modeling. I will get outdoor shots when I finish the trailer.
  12. Nice use of parts Ryan. Good looking tires and wheels. There are some resin transfer cases out there. Or you can modify the pump transmision from the AMT ALF kit.
  13. Thanks Highway. Either option for the air cleaner was available.
  14. Finished this afternoon. Had to resort to indoor pics due to rain. Thanks for all the comments on the build.
  15. Made some progress on the Mack.
  16. Real nice cab detail, hinges, and hoist.
  17. Looks like a good project. One more sugestion on the tires: Stuff the tires with tissue paper. This fills the tire out a little and makes them fit better on the rims.
