  1. "Sally Carrera: Now, how many can claim to have met and take a picture with this hot Hollywood star?" Me, too: However, as far as getting into the Corvette pits, you win hands down!! Congratulations - really cool.
  2. Ismael, A great time for me as well! I am glad we had a chance to spend time together at the race. And thanks for teaching an old dog the new trick of text messaging - it was an excellent way to communicate. Regards,
  3. Ismael, Thanks again for the great time we had visiting at the race. Your pictures are fantastic!! Are these pictures of #3 (coincidentally, C6R-003) or #4 (C6R-004)? Is it possible, for us chassis number freaks, that you could, in your reference pages, identify which car is shown in each picture? Here is a bottom view of #4 during tech on Thursday Sept 28 at Petit 2006. It sure is flat: The skull symbol is becoming more prominent on the C6.R, and now there are t-shirts. Regards,
  4. USA racing colors: More here.
  5. Here is another picture showing the covers. Check the mechanic next to the left front wheel with the knockoff hammer! Looks slow but they got to be pretty good with those things. The lack of advertising is refreshing; it doesn't even say "Ford" any place!!
  6. Excellent job, Eric! Very well done. It sure brings back memories; I was there in '66 when Gurney was leading in that car, broke down within sight of the finish, pushed the car across the line, then was disqualified. Ken Miles in the open top Ford GT was declared the winner. Thanks again for stirring up the memories (I've just GOTTA get those old Super 8 movies on DVD).
  7. Could I impose upon one of you kind folks that might see Herb to ask him if he still has the Andy Martin molds for the 1:43 scale 1938 International D-300 and if he plans to produce resin kits for sale? He bought the molds from Andy back in the early Mesozoic era when he (Herb) was doing small scale truck kits. Now that Herb has moved on to Area 51, I fear that the truck era is over. Thanks. More pix here.
  8. "Sting Ray! What a great idea! But, if the limited edition ever really happens, I'm voting for the Shinoda version:
  9. Glad to help, Terry. I have lots more higher res pix from Nashville that are not on the web page. Let me know if you need anything else.
  10. I agree, Terry, it is my favorite paint scheme on the C5-R: I like red, white and blue - it seems more logical than Belgian Racing Yellow for a USA car (although traditional white with blue trim is still my absolute favorite). I have lots of reference photos (including some great "as raced" shots for the weathering buffs) of the 2003 Le Mans cars here: http://palmeter.com/C5RLeMans2003.htm Regards,
  11. The fine print says "Monterey Red Metallic and Arctic White not available on Z06."
  12. The C5-R had BBS wheels during the 1999 to 2001 seasons: The OZ wheels were used from 2002 through 2005 as shown in my post above. As Len correctly noted, all the Revell C5-R releases included BBS wheels.
  13. If you need some reference pictures, check out my web pages here: C6-R info. Side note, the wheels in the kit appear to be the correct 2005 OZ wheels: Above - 2005-05-22 - Mid-Ohio - Front wheel detail HOWEVER, if you are doing a 2006 car, note the switch to BBS wheels (and decals, of course): Above - 2006-03-18 - Sebring Grid Above - 2006-05-20 - Mid-Ohio ALMS race - BBS wheel detail. (And side marker light sticker detail.) I have lots more pictures, let me know if you need any others.
  14. Am I the oldest guy here? I was launched the same (model) year as the Mercury lineup: A magnificient looking car; sorry I can't make the same claim!
  15. However, I need to learn to log in first!!
  16. Hi all, Some of you have been to my Corvette Pages but for those not familiar with them check this out: Corvette Racing Reference
  17. Excellent models!! An ex-brother-in-law of mine had a British Racing Green MGB GT. We liked to call it his "BRG BMC MGB GT". (BMC = British Motors Corporation). Oh well, it seemed funny at the time. David Palmeter Some of My (Mostly Very Old) Stuff
