  2. Nice! I always been curious to see how this model. Looking forward to see more of it.
  3. Working on the interior... still missing a few thing. Add the steering wheel. Here ta picture of the dashboard. The wood is handpainted, add the heat/cooling switch, air vents, key/key chain...
  4. Thank you Carl!
  5. Some more progress... Hinge glued, some putty, ready for some sand paper for remove the inside design/panel, that they are wrong, they are suppose to be in negative not positive. This will help the hood to looks more realistic. Also the rear door need some sanding, those positive panels need to be gone and be made flat. Here hood and trunk doors done.
  6. Thank you Randy! It was difficult and time consuming for sure. I'm glad I did not follow the instruction, because they tell you to put the hinges on the door first and after glue them to the car. If you do that the door will hit everywhere and pull down when open.
  7. Thank you Erik! The chrome frame? Mine is broken too, on the driver side, still when it was on the tree! Thank you Ken!
  8. Next thing I'm working on are the door. I did not like the door panel, so I will rebuild it. First step is to glue the stock door panel on the door. Second remove the arm rests... Third , sandpaper all the panel and seal it with putty, pretty much this is the door without the door panel. Soon the rest...
  9. Here more progress... Luckly I check before paint if the door works fine, because they required a lot of work. When closed they did not follow the body of the car, and when open they kind of fell down. Rear door fixed. Now it open and close better. Same work is required on the front door. Next thing to do is fill up the space for the front axle, so it looks more right. One of the two hinge for the hood. Here both glued in place.
  10. Thank you Richard! Here for make fit the doors I had to cut and modify the window. It is still a job in progress... Also the rear door need to be modified...
  11. Thank you DebaronFR! I start to work on the body, I though it was simple, but was not, all the doors need a lot of works for open and close correctly, what a pain... Tomorrow if I have time I will post pics.
  12. It could be! I need to check it out! Thank you Charlie!
  13. The seats are done now. And the front one are reclinable.
  14. Nice! A GTI bring back memories!
  15. I saw two similar situation in a hobby store in Italy years ago. A kid (probably 10) that wanted to buy a model kit, because on the box art it looks cool, and the guy on the store almost sold it, but when he ask a the kid if he needed glue/paint, the kid realized that was not a Lego, and you need glue/paint to build. So he left the kit and the store. The second time, a couple (mom/dad) were looking to buy two kits for theirs kids as Christmas gift. They were looking to buy some Tank model kit, ant they were saying "so they can build them and play" the guy a the store was supporting the idea too. I didn't. I ask them how old the kid where, and show them on the box that they were under the suggested age. Plus I told them that for build them you need glue, and maybe paint, because it doesn't look like the box art, and the piece need to be cut etc... I was buying a kit to, so I open the box and showed them how it was. A the end they tanked me for the help, they would have buy something wrong. The guy a the store was not very happy with me, I understand that he want $$$, but... Glad you find the post Jean-Jacques! Thank you!
  16. Thank you Richard! Thank you David! I do all mi best for build it as better I can, and try to fix the kit issue.
  17. ere some more progress... Slowly slowly I do somethings on the model. The rear seat has an arm rest, but the kit did not offer it. Here the arm res and his space done. Fron arm rest and the little seat that goes between the front seat. The car was one of the few with 6 seats.
