    93 Ranger

here it is. it is my first attempt at a bagged and notched mini truck so comments and feedback will always be welcomed. i shaved all the emblems, door handles, tail gate handle, taillights, scratched the c-notch(which since i did i have figutred out a new way to build it more to scale and not so square.), chopped up the front I-beam suspension and scratched the rear roll pan. enjoy the pics.
  3. a little more progress.
  4. some paint and supension work is done. just about ready for under glass. thanks for looking.
  5. some body work done now, almost ready for paint! got the ride height done, if you look close at the pic from the front you can see it is laying frame. sorry for the lousy pics.
  6. there is a tutorial in the general section and it helped me posting pics. give it a look and see if it helps you as well. good luck.
  7. hmmm....no pics
  8. very nice!
  9. looks good! i love the general. I heard the original 1:1 LEE 3 was brush painted green and turned into an actual race car then found in some swamp and restored to the general it once was.

    64 impala

this build is on the bench. i didnt have to many problems with this kit. i found it to be a nice fitting kit all in all n the only thing i would suggest is take some time with the trunk lid fitment and the hood trim. i kinda went to fast through those parts and thehood sits a little high and the trunk is slightly crooked and doesnt seat right. easy enough to fix i am going back to fix mine. i didnt really notice these problems untill i posted the pics and really looked at it.hope this helps
  11. that looks really cool! i like the mat on the side. also is that a mustang front bumper or did you just graft it to the original ranger bumper?
  12. i got a little more done on the ranger today like shaving the door handles and emblems, also shaved the tailgate handle and ford emblem off the tailgate. got some more chassis work done too. cut the frame out and made the airbags. i am going to add some more styrene to the c-notch for strength and scale. i may have to cut my link bars though cause the wheels i chose are not tucking into the wheel well like i had hoped they would, they are rubbing a little but thats all part of the fun. right? anyway heres a few more pics.
  13. i have started a new project today since i got my impala all buttoned up this morning. trying something i have never done before which is c-notching and bagging a minitruck. feedback is always welcome. no turning back now! this is just a mock up of the back end ride height. the front will drop down a bit soon. it probably wont be totally slammed i may leave the west coast reverse rake on the truck just for style points.
  14. great start! i wish i had the....um.....BRAINS to scratch with brass. i will be watching this one.
  15. should be a cool build. IMO i dont think that you should stop building but use building as a release form the troubles bringing you down. put those feelings into the cars and pump out some sic killer rides.

got er done! i am impressed with this build as i have never built a lowrider before. i really enjoyed it and will probably do another but hopefully with more detail and finishing touches such as plumbing and hydro shaft etc. anyway enjoy the pics and please leave your comments.
  18. a little more progress on the impala today. i am quite happy with theway this is coming together. i have never built a lowrider before and after this one it probably wont be my last. feedback is always welcome.
  19. you can scratch them fairly easily. go to your local scrapbooking store or craft store and get some 1/8 inch steel ringlets and down at your local napa dealer to get some rubber O-rings in 1/8 by 1/16 of an inch. they will make a realistic looking scale bag.
  20. that looks awesome. are you going to rid the box of body lines too?
  21. some paint laid down today. i am quite happy with the color. it is duplicolor sand beige.
  22. just starting this one will post pics as i go.
  23. ya my new camera doesnt appear to have a macro function and the old camera that did is hooped!
  24. there is a guy on here that did turn the hinges back to regular hinges. he also added door handles and smaller rims to make it look more stock. it turned out real nice. thanks for the feedback all!
