  1. Nice! i like the dark green metalic.
  2. It looks perfect!!!!by the way are those wheels from the concept camaro snap kit? i've been wanting to get a set for my 69 nova but i'm unsure what the fit will be like.
  3. Looks good so far. good job an the vynil top. i had a 78 regal myself,i enjoyed it alot.
  4. that looks good man. I like that you chose the yellow, I don't see that to often for a mustang.
  5. thanks for all the comments guys ! Yes Steve i will be adding a chin spoiler,it just wouldn't be right if i didn't.LOL. I just don't have the time i would like to put into this build. I didn't think when i started this project that i would get so involved in it.So many ideas i get from the pro-touring sites and magazines like popular hotrodding, super chevy and my favorite Camaro Performers, mostly every ride in that mag is a pro touring machine with millions of ideas to apply to all kinds of builds. The fabrication that goes into some of the pro-touring cars is just simply amazing. Again thanks for looking. I will have updates shortly.
  6. That's one bad ass cuda. i really like the wheels you used.
  7. A few more pictures of my wip. I worked on the tubs, tranny crossmember and final rear stance. the front isn't finished but will sit as pictured.About the battery, i was just looking to get close. i did sand off the caps and lettering.not pictured and sanded the corners round. looks alot better.I will take a picture and post it. I will however be building a pro- touring '69 nova after this one and will be replicating the optima using referance pics. This, as stated in my first post of this thread is just a fun build. My son is excited about the way it's turning out and at the end it's for him and his brothers to enjoy.

looks mean ! i always wondered what one of these roadsters would run like with a ROTARY ENGINE.
  9. thanks guys ! i like using all kinds of parts myself. from either diecast or plastic models even some toys in the past. I have more pics to post. ive been busy getting tires ,wipers, brakes and struts for my minivan. gotta keep the family safe. tommrow i will update this post.I went to one of the lhs but no luck with any paints for the body. might have to use some duplicolor.
  10. I like all the interior detail. The wheels came ot really nice. keep us posted on this one.
  11. keep those pics coming ! your mustang is going to look like the real thing.i like the engine to.
  12. I like the whole idea keep posting the pics guys.
  13. i wanted to install an electric fan but didn't have one so i'm scratch building one from using the radiator that came in the kit. i had to chop it up a bit to fit into the new rad but i think it's a pretty good idea. any feedback would be cool thanks for looking ! thanks for the ideas to.
  14. Here's what i came up with for an OPTIMA STYLE BATTERY. I used some of a parts tree for the "cans",styrene sheet for the bottom and cut the top off the 70'S STYLE BATTERY to use for the top of the OPTIMA.I sanded off the caps and lettering and this is waht i ended up with.
  15. I had a chance to work on the car yesterday. Here are some pics. here's a pic of the engine which i pulled from the badrides mustang. As you can see it only has the bottom half of the tranny that's how it came. i wish it would have been a fully molded tranny it looked pretty cool. I cut the Tranny off the engine in the kit and glued it on to the engine i'm using for the build.
  16. looks mean ! can you post a sideview pic of that monster ?
  17. Amazing! love everything about it !
  18. that's gonna be one badass '55 ! the diorama is cool to !
  19. well i'm at work day dreamin about my build and was thinking that i have a pair of the racing seats from the 1970 fast and furious monte carlo that came with a bunch of extra goodies. picked 2 of them up at kmart last year from the clearance rack for $4 each. i think those seats will look better then the ones i was going to use from the diecast car. i'll post pics when i get home tonight. i might stop by big lots to see what they got i need something with an electric fan for this build. i;m kicking myself for selling my partsbox on ebay this past fall i was frustrated with life and the hobby at the time ,so many cool parts i could have had for this build now i have nothing all those years of saving parts down the drain,oh well on to the next !
  20. trying to get back into the hobby
