  1. Thanks guys. I try to keep them different.LOL! Walt, I modified the body to represent a thing more than a Kubelwagen. I hope it comes out good.Very difficult task on this one.LOL! Doug R
  2. That is killer!! I love the engine. Doug R
  3. This is a ww2 Hasegewa Kubelwagen slightly modified to represent a class 5 open desert racing vehicle. I just finished building the rear trailing arms, battery and equipment shelf, some rear cage tie in. I will probably do the coil over resevior shocks and mounts next. I mocked it up so you get an idea of the look. Follow the link if interested in more pictures. Doug R http://s42.photobucket.com/albums/e320/kod...amp;media=image
  4. This is Willies crawler- it's scratch built too. Hope you like it. He is gonna to a truggy next? Doug R
  5. Well, It was killing me so I threw some paint on the body prematurely, then I managed to drop it and stepped no it and broke the windsheild pillar. Nice one. After a quick fix,I re squirted it. This thing is very fragile body wise, especially since I cut so much of the body apart and made some of it.LOL! Anyway-the front is on it's own wheels now.Need to build shocks so I can finish the front mounts and make the rear mounts, arms and cage work. The radiator is mounted, spare mount done engine mounts, shifter tower and shifter, pedal, steering rack,......the front lower control arms have extra material where the shock will mount so don't flame me yet. Doug
  6. Here are where I will put the done builds. Here are the first 2 done. http://s42.photobucket.com/albums/e320/kod...amp;media=image
  7. Here is the build I have going so far. This is a ww2 vw Kubelwagen made to look kinda like a vw thing I hope. I only have the front half of the chassis and cage so far. I would say I am 10% done. It will have coil over shocks, porsche trans, motor? chevy v-6 -porsche 6 - or a scat v-4. Has a long way to go. Doug R
  8. Matt, I might mail you my Baja bugs? I am gonna talk to Jairus about packaging them. I don't know for sure yet. I think the subject would do well given the area you're in. Doug R
  9. I had a wonderful time. I was floored that my Dodge won something,I almost did not bring it. I was thinking my green VW was gonna be my ace in the hole.LOL! 10. Resin kit?? I hate the fenders on mine,I may cut it all apart and redo them like a thing. Doug R
  11. Started project Kubel-baja today The body is a multi piece unit with a hood mounted spare. I changed the front end a little. Here is an idea of where I am going with it. Doug R New prizes added here- http://s42.photobucket.com/albums/e320/kod...ntest%20prizes/
  12. Styrene?? Well,do you have a train shop too? Model rail roaders use this stuff alot. I have to order online because my LHS is going out of business. RPP Hobby carries some popular plastruct sizes here-I asked him to carry some and he got it right away.LOL! http://rpphobby.com/Aftermarket%20Model%20Parts.htm I would get a catalog from evergreen and plastruct so you can see all they offer. http://www.plastruct.com/ http://www.evergreenscalemodels.com/ Get yourself a good liquid glue like Tenax 7 or Proweld too. I wish I lived closer,I would just show you what I use. Maybe I will do a tutorial for TMM. Doug
