  5. Thanks guys. Just did some wheel details and added bead locks.I think it makes the tires look more burly. I did a matching spare,I just need to drill out the hub and lug nut holes for it. Doug You can also see a few more suspension details now.
  6. Hey guys, This is a group build for Bobby (Wildrice) of the Mad Modeller forum. I am doing a couple body mods, then a lift with my wheels and tires. Then I will send it to another member, and so on until it ends up as a finished model for Bobby to keep. Here is what I have done so far. I am 90% done with the rear lift, just need to make or find rear shocks. Then do the whole front lift. I have the 4 wheels discs, and made my own axles. I will post more when I am done with my part this week. Doug R
  7. Sorry Stefan, I meant the trim (rubber)Sharpie pen? I just bought 2 of those combi's that will be lowered just like yours. I love the look. Doug R
  8. Those look great!!!!! I love them both. Do they have suspension detail or are they curbside only. Yes please share your technique for window treatment. Doug R
  9. Hobby shops and train shops. You can order online from Tower Hobbies,Rpp hobby etc.... Plastruct will sell direct I think and maybe Evergreen does? http://www.evergreenscalemodels.com/ http://www.plastruct.com/ Evergreen has a cool scale conversion chart you can print out. I use mostly .060 and .080" rod for my cages. Roughly .040" = 1' scale for 1/25 and 1/24 ? You can buy the catalogs or download them. Sheet styrene comes in assortments and many styles and colors. Good luck. Doug R
  10. Awesome Bill, Those Radirs look great on there. Are those alclad painted or plated? Doug R
  11. I kinda converted one to look similar. You would be better off scratch building the entire body. They are 2 way different animals. The Jada dub body will probably be kind of cartoonish like all their other cars? The panels are mostly flat with squared off features, you could use the hasegewa as a guide for the basic shape. I would love to see them casted for sure. Doug R
  12. Thanks guys. This will help me alot.LOL! I hope. Doug R
  13. I love it!!! Are those wheels from a Jada Dub VW car? Doug R

  23. This is a Gunze 56 oval curbside kit I threw together. Just finished it. I only have about 5-6 hours into, mostly body work. Hope you like it. Doug R
  24. Hey guys. This is a revell VW beetle that I am trying to master as a baja body for Jake to cast. I have never made a master before,so this will be the first attempt. This is what it will look like though. I need to do a little finish work still. Also this one piece front end might be do-able after some body work. We are thinking of making it as a trans kit with wheels, tires, bead locks, fuel cell, seats, porsche trans ??? Jake already makes these seats-bead locks-fuel cell-and maybe even these tires by now. If it turns out ok I will do a better version with the Tamiya body. Your thoughts on this? Would you be interested if the price was affordable? Thanks for the input. Doug R
