  1. Hi guys I have been working on the body of the Aurora Vega and here are some pics of it . I still have to tweak the front spoiler and finish up a couple of small items then bock it out to get it ready paint thanks Chuck
  2. I afraid the company may be over I oder 2 hoods waited 7 months then he refunded me and told me to reorder and he would send them right out so I did and waited another 5 months finally had to demand a refund which I got Chuck good luck guys in getting your parts and or money back I just feel lucky Chuck
  3. Mike didn't I trade you some Omni bodies that you were going to change in 1/24th scale so the Revell chassis would work . If that was you have you made any progress on it ? I would love to make a slush mold of it so I could have some of those bodies Chuck
  4. Here is a Satellite I started playing with last week before my printer died I drew the decals and printed them and used a Good Stuff Satellite body . I need to color sand it and add about 3 more coats of clear the paint the nose bumper and rear bumper . I am working on it when I get tired of the Voo Doo Vega . Now I gotta find another Alps printer. Chuck
  5. Hi guys I got the correct front spoiler put back on and started reshaping the front fenders . Now I have grind down the headlight outer ring and install the scaled down smaller one so the headlights aren't so huge . I also have to finish the lower part of the front fenders so I can put the bumper ends back on .Here are a couple of pics Chuck
  6. thanks guys I hope she will come home Sunday Chuck
  7. that one came out super Rodger Chuck
  8. Yes , I'm going to resin cast the body and I also make the decals for the car. You would need an Aurora chassis or you could modify a Revell cassis to fit. I may do a Revell chassis mockup and see what all is involved to to it and supply a instruction sheet with the body and decals for the modeler, but these plans are a little ways out there . But I am not going to do another body thats why Im going to cast it Chuck
  9. Hi Bill the yellow side panels were printed on ink jet decal white paper and I airbrushed yellow over it with paint because I was not happy with the color .This was the old way of doing it before I got my Alps printer. Now I can use Cady decals and make a white underlay for his decals In reference to the flames of sorts ,they actually go onto a 1970 Callenger Slixx decals aren't that bad you just have to make a 2 tone yellow to red panel for the car Chuck
  10. Now that most of the front end is roughed in here is my first mock-up look at the body. It now comes out to a correct 116 in wheel base car. I still have to do the otherside rear wheel well and spill plate the start the bdy filler and get it smoothed out. Once I get the body done outside and inside and nice and smooth I going to cast this body , because I ain't doing this one again, then I can make a more correct flat nose car and other variations. I still have to work up the fender bumpers for the car also . I was contacted by Curtis Moore after he seen my 1/25th scale body and wanted one done in 1/16th since his dad was the one who worked on the real car . Thats why it has Hagen (Sam Hagen the driver ), Moore (Curtis dad mechanic) West (Tom West ) artist for Aurora and mechanical designer of the kitand Paulding on the roof of the car. Here are the mock-up pics so let me know if I'm on the right path. The aluminum wheels are by Jim at Micro Nitro and they are awesome . now its time to sleep Chuck
  11. the blend between the Aurora body and the Revell parts is not matching up very well on the hood area and the front of the front fenders wells doesn't look right either so a little bit more hacking and gluing is needed. Now its starting to look right.
  12. Ok guys I could not sleep last night so it has been 36 hrs staight . My wife is in the hospital so i stayed up all night and got some more done. The Revell funny car will furnish some parts for the conversion and here is what I came up with.
  13. Welcome to my nightmare as I start hacking up the body. The orginal car is a 1974-75 slant nose Vega ,while the kit is a 1971-73 flat nose Vega , so this is the major problem with the kit . Tom also pointed out that the sides of car slant inward to muck and too quickly so i will be addressing that issue also .
  14. I want to thank Tom West for helping with the pics and pointing out some of the inaccuratcies with the orginal kit body as I will attempt to correct some of them .Here are the pics of the body as from the kit .
  15. Hello guys I have been wanting to build a more correct version of the VooDoo Vega than the one that came in the kit. I say more correct rather than accurate replica because I'm not a master when it comes to getting bodies 100% correct so I will do the best I can .I am starting of with a mint kit and some pics of the car I have found. So here goes nothing Chuck
  16. check out this thread that iborg posted.............http://www.modelcars...1&hl=challenger............. Rodger did a 1970 Challenger from the AMT and I did a 1971 with the Lindberg kit . Vaughn Hart made the 1971 conversion kit and I now see he does the 1972-73 conversion kit with will up grade this kit a bunch Chuck
  17. Shane I live in the Tri-Cities and I didn't go this year I was there last year in the pits with OH-Boy Oberto
  18. still working on it Chuck
  19. give me a couple of weeks guys and I'll get time to resize them to fit the Good Stuff body which I think is the same as Greggs body Chuck
  20. Hello guys I have wanted to build this car in 1/25th scale for 12 years now. It is a MPC Black Magic funny car kit with resin wheel bumps added and my decals that I drew this morning.NOW WE ARE HAVING FUN thanks Chuck
  21. Hello guys I have just about stop making decals for sale . This is the reason why " NO TIME TO BUILD" . I still will offer some from time to time but I was getting burnt out and I really wanted to build something for myself. So this morning I decided to get a couple of MPC funny cars out and get back to the basics (HAVING FUN).So I grab a Nitro Charger (generic MPC car )and paint it and used Chuck Boener 's decals which are awesome to build the Don Prudhomme's Pepsi Challenger. Then I said WOW thats fun , I forgot how fun modeling could be . Then I grab an extra MPC Barry Setzer car I had and drew a set of decals to do the Jim Nicoll Superman 1972 Vega funny car (which is different than the Revell 1974 car). This is why I wanted to learn how to do decals is to build something different and some one off cars for myself and I can't remember when I have had so much fun doing this, even after a 20 hr day doing these to bodies . So tommorow or today Saturday I'll get some sleep and start on some chassis. Here are some pics I hope you enjoy them as much as I did this Friday building them (remeber this hobby is suppose to be FUN.) thanks guys and goodnight
  22. Hello guys I need some help . I am in the process making the decals for the Kenny Berstein bat car . I have search the internet and found a few pics of the car but what I nheed is a head on shot of the grill and headlights and also a straight on shot of the taillights. What also mightwork is that if anyone has the 1/16th scale car thatMilestone Development made , these shots of that car as big as you can get them . Here is the body in its early stages. It started out as an old David Peters body but not much of that body remains . thanks Chuck
  23. Yes Chris they are 1/16th scale but they will fit the Aurora Vega funny car body . Later I will be resigning that body to make it more correct and casting the body and I'll resize the decals to fit that body . These are replacement decals the the Aurora body only right now Chuck
  24. Hello guys I just finished this decal to on my Aurora Vega, I changed the Gold to a spun Gold and it printed out coooool. I just have to finish the tailights and a grill . When I get some pics from Tom I will included the BB/FC markings also. I just printed it out and it came out great the spun gold changes everything Chuck
  25. thanks Steve I'l set up a mold as quickly as I can, once I get your hood thanks Chuck
