I started with a Revell Daytona Charger and used the interior bucket and chassis from that car . I have put in a roll cage frome a Polar Lights Torino and have PPP wheels and tires. Here is the start of the car mocked up and I know I have to remove the wing window , but here is where I need some help . Is the stance on the car correct Do the front fenders need to be radius out more Do I touch the rear quarters or leave them alone and does the ride height for the car look correct any help will be appreciated guys thanks Chuck

  13. I decided to print the decals and try them out for size on the unpainted body and this is what I got ,I'm pretty happy with them
  14. Hello guys I just recently bought a factory sealed Petty car for a good price and when I opened it I found that the decals had big scrape through the roof decal on the number 3 and the decals were printed with a big misalignment. So I sat down this afternoon and redrew a new set and will print them out on my Alps printer , hopefully I can get the stripes the right color , I'll play around with it till I get it right . Here are the factory MPC decals and my redrawn set thanks Chuck let me know what you think
  15. is that one of your bodies , if not where did you get I'd like to have one Chuck
  16. Hi Rodger , I used to build only Revell cars , but when you sit a Revell funny car from the 70's era next to a Bruce Larson or Grumpys Vega pro stock the Revell car drawfs it and it doesn't look right (so that takes care of the scale ). As far as accuracy when you build a Revell car you almost have to put one of the big slicks from the newer funny cars to make it look right and to fill up the wheelwell and don't even get me started on the Monza rear wheelwell ...LOL...ITS HUGE . So I think and this is my opinion that the MPC funny cars are more accurate. Also there are 2 different lentghs of chassis's that MPC made (the Vegas measure out to 117 wheel base and the later cars (Omni, Firebirds and Corevettes ) measure out to 120 wheel base which is what is in the kit and which is what those cars roughly measure out to be . Lastly I do all of my own decals for the cars so I can keep ajusting the decal to get the best fit I can and its fun to draw them and I'm the only person I know of that is doing decals for the MPC cars ( less compettion) LOL. For your other question yes , I have other sets of bodies and decals on ebay thanks Chuck
  17. Well I just went 36 hrs straight to get to here . I finished the Flash Gordon decals and I just had to see what they would look like on a MPC body. So here are a couple of pics of the body . Now its off to bed with my body ...LOL Chuck thanks Chuck
  18. Hi guys with me getting the MPC Vegas casted I have aton of decals I want to do so they will fit that body . Here is my latest decal thanks Chuck I'll do a little revampimping and they will also fit the slant nose Vega which he drove also Chuck oops I forgot to add the little twinkle stars to the sheet but I have them ...LOL... getting old
  19. OK guys here is my new project , I got my resin Vega bodies so I decided to build a Barry Setzer / Pat Foster driven funny car. The Slixx decals are to big for the car so I drew a new set . The body is almost done and I'll try to knock a chassis this week since I'm on vacation thanks Chuck
  20. Hi everyone I received my resin MPC Vegas (both flat nose and slant nose) and I have made some decals for them. These cars come with tin plates and rear spoiler (and fender bumps when needed to replicate a certin car). My first decals are the Barry Setzer and the VooDoo Vega . enjoy Chuck
  21. I have a set of Billy's decals for that car . I'm going to redraw them because I want the spun gold look to them Chuck pm me if your interested
  22. thanks Alan for the pics of the wheels Chuck
  23. Alan can you post a pic of the wheels and i need to talk to you about a couple of decals Chuck
  24. that is also what I am building and I made these decals to fit the streched car and they are drawn in vector so there is no fuzz around them , the lines are crisp . I just have to finish the rear wheel wells by straighting them up and raising them to the right height Chuck
