  7. Hi guys awhile back I did a 68 Color Me Gone body and wasn't happy with it and I a guy offered me stupid money for the body. When I did the other body I was in such a hurry I forgot to shave off the the front turn signals on the lower valance and make the front spoiler and I put the wrong decal on the front fender that said Rodger Lindamood , I put red instead of black but I found a photo that showed Gold with a black outline ,so I'm starting over . Here is the old body.

  9. Hello guys I found an old David Peters body and un streched it from 125 in to 120 in wheel base to build the McCollouch's car here is the body on a 117 in cassis . I think I'll cast the body and start on the chassis Chuck thanks Chuck
  10. Hi Terry I don't have the actual diamensions so I have to reference pics of front side and rear and side shot and size them to each other then use refernce points on the car bodies and different components such as tires , injectors and a scale calculator and reference as many things as I can reference together to get the size as close as I can with it also looking correct. So mine is not 100% correct but I'm trying to do everything I can to get it there and look correct. Chuck
  11. The rear wheel wells came from a Bruce Larson Pro Stock Vega . 1 Larson Vega , Motown Shaker Vega , 1 Setzer Vega , and 1 Malco Vega Scrambler , is what I have used so far to recreate the body. I know all the collectors will be screaming when they find out what I cut up to do this project LOL Chuck
  12. Hello guys I haven't built much because I was discusted with the bodies avaiable, The Revell car is just to big and the wrong wheelbase (120 in) and the MPC was too small and was 115 inch wheelbase . So I took a MPC made the deck lid longer like it should have been , stretcheched the body to 117 in wheelbase and widen the car 4mm get get the width right , and also put in a new set of rear wheel wells . So here it is in the rough stages . Chuck
  13. Here is the pic of David Peters body mocked up with a 125" Revell chassis . I did some looking around and found out that car was 125" and the guy who had it before me looked like he was going to unstretch it but I think it looks correct. I think I may have found the best looking Late model Duster body out there what do you guys think before I start moving foward on this body Chuck

  18. Yes Decals by Lucas is out of bussiness I had to get a paypal refund from Rick and I offered to buy his files but at 3000.00 to 3500.00 for his files and an Alps 4000 I did not think it was worth it . I use Corel Draw X5 and the files would have had to be redrawn so I passed on the deal Chuck

  23. I just watched the Arnie Beswick CD and found out he ran a turbo 400 so I cut one of another engine and I'll use the motor from the 62 Pontiac Catalina Chuck
  24. Hello all when I heard the Beswick GTO was being released I contacted John Greczula to let them know that the tailshaft of the transmission has been missing from the Pontiac motor since 1967. here is our e-mails: Hi John , this is Chuck and I see you guys are bringing out the Beswick GTO funny car. You need to look at the motor and transmission. The trans is missing the complete tailshaft assemby and has been missing since the 1967 GTO flip top car with its full chassis . I just know alot of people we not happy when they got Burketts GTO and I'll bet it is still missing making the car unbuildable because the tailshaft rest on the crossmember . I have only found it in the Mr. Uswitchable kit. Here is a pic of the motor and trans from the Burkett kit . Please check on this and let me know what you find out as I will not be buying any unless this is fixed Chuck Hello Chuck, We did indeed know about the problem. We are adding a new, albeit simple looking separate tailshaft part to the tooling to correct the issue. It looks similar to the tailshaft that's in the '72 MPC Connie Kalitta Bounty Hunter Mustang funny car kit and trust it will work well enough to make modelers happy with the kit. Regards, John Greczula AMT / MPC / Polar Lights / Auto World Here is pic of what should have been in the kit, I have saved this from the Mr. Unswitchable so I can clean it up and cast me some Here is there replacement set up that is "good enough" for the modelers. I find it very weak and an insult to say "good enough". Maybe as modelers we are "good enough" to save our money and pass this kit by and maybe "good enough" will become "lets fix it right " . At 25.00 a pop for a kit "good enough "doesn't cut it. John and Tom if you are listening I hope what I wrote is "good enough" Chuck
  25. that one looks great Chuck Chuck
