  4. Hi Jim.......I will scuff it down a little.......not to much with 2500.......then I will give a medium/heavy clear coat ..........Then I will sand it down really good with 1500 and then give another medium clear coat........then I will sand it down again with 2000........then give a final light/medium clear coat.........I use RM 5800 clear and RM Hardner and Rm reducer........it probably doesn`t make sense but, that`s what I will do to this build......... thanks
  5. few more progress photos.......thanks.
  6. Hello.......thank you all very much for the kind comments........I finished all the flames on the body........I still need to add 2 flames to the trunk lid........I will do that in a couple of days..........I will clean all the edges on the body and give it`s first clear coat tonight..........the flames are "Not" exactly like the 1:1 car but, good enough for the girls I go with........thanks for looking.
  7. Hi Roger........one and done type.........but,if you want a cool flame job for a decent price without all the hassles ........I highly recommend them........thanks.
  8. Hi Dan........after I lay down the rest of the flames........I will give everything a clear coat........then I will wet sand the clear coat.......then I will lay down another clear coat.........then I will sand again and then give a final clear coat........and everything should be smooth as glass.......thanks

  10. Bill......you gotta get this one going.........you don`t see many Big John Cudas..........looks great so far........keep at it ......glad your taking progress pictures too.
  11. Chris.......the flame color is H.O.K. kandy organic green over H.O.K. shimirin silver base coat.........the "Lazy Modeler" Flamin Masks I used are: #150805502960 Revell ,AMT,Monogram Generic Large Car $13.00 and #150960702396 AMT 49-50 Ford $16.00 plus shipping.........thanks

  15. Hello......."Wow" ,thank you all very much for the kind comments.......I really do appreciate them all........when I first considered to build this "Freakshow"........I thought to myself, the flames will be hard to do.......but,I have done them before on other builds.......so,I thought it wouldn`t be to much of a problem........but,one day I was surfing the MCM forum and came across "Lazy Modelers" Flamin Mask.......I watched the video on how they worked.......well,I wasn`t convinced till a couple of months ago at the Grand Nationals Roadster Show.........Mr. Roy Sorenson had a 57 Chevy model car entered in the model contest......and it had a great painted flame job on it.......I asked Roy how did he get the flames to look so good?.......well,they were "Lazy Modelers" Flamin Mask.........I ordered them right away because they are from Australia........and I wanted them fast for this build........I got them less than a week.........I highly recommend them.......He has different style flames for a handful of cars but,he says he will be making more......... they are easy to use and the results are great........Now,as far as my build is concerned........I bought a couple of flame sets that would maybe fit my build........they are " not " perfect and they are " not " exact to the 1:1 car........but,they are good enough for the girls I go with........I will finish up the flames tomorrow........thanks for looking.
  16. Hi Kevin........my earlier post show the phone in mock-up stages.......made from a piece of "Evergreen" styrene and "Michaels" craft store stickers with a strand of "Protech" detailing wire coiled up and airbrushed pink.......the dial is a piece of round clear spru..........The mug of beer is made from a Christmas mini glass light .......I cut the top and bottom of the light.......then filed smooth........I used a clear glass wind -wing and filled to the shape of a handle.........the bottom of the glass is a clear taillight lens from the parts box........I filled the glass with 2 part clear epoxy.......and for the foam I cut the top of a Q`tip.........thanks
  17. Hello.......thank you all very much for your kind comments.....I really do appreciate them.........I mocked -up the trunk with the keg to see how it looked.......then I poured myself a mug of beer from the keg........ and finished up the interior.......thanks for looking.

  23. Ray......please don`t cut yourself short.......personally I have seen your work and I can honestly say.......you did a wonderful job on this build........way better than I could have done 5 years ago.........on that 5 year journey it was pretty rough for me........but,all I could do was thrive to get better.........you are on your way.......stick with it and please don`t say that someone else could have built it better.......because,what really matters is if you are satisfied with it. ........again,excellent build.
  24. Terry......."WOW" that is wild..........but,I love it .......I love to see different stuff........very cool man.
