Hello.......this is on the bench.......The Beach City Corvette 1/16 Scale.......My friend Tom West hooked me up with some great reference pics of the The Beach City Corvette 1, driven by Gary Gabelich......The Chassis that Gabelich ran in this car was built by Gilmore/kase .......the BBC engine was offset to the left and the Driver was offset to the right.......I will be making alot of scratch built stuff for this build......The resin body is from "Flashpoint" ,Terry sold me his last resin body......this is the last resin body that I know of.......this car was my favorite drag car while growing up......I would see this car at Lions Drag Srtrip all the time,so I really want to do a good job on it......my friend Gary with GWS Decals will be making the decals for this version.......and I will be using some of Chris Soback Designs products......I will be using a Mark Johnson BBC resin engine for this build...... thanks for looking.

Hello......thanks Guys for the kind comments.......I really do appreciate them......I modified the Revell kit Headers to fit this build and weathered them......I made prop for the body.......I will have finished pics soon.......thanks for looking.

Hello.......thank you all so very much for the kind comments......I really do appreciate them.......I attached the Wing and Rockers......and attached the front Body Latch and made a parachute handle with release cables,and made some parachute ropes.......and made a few more body braces.....I thought I would be finished today.....but,I still need to make the headers.....thanks for looking

Hello.......thank you all so very much for the kind comments.......I really do appreciate them........I got the last coat of clear on the body.....I got the Tins painted H.O.K. black and instaled and lightly weathered with Dark Gray "Folk Art' Acrylic paint......I used some Paul Rowe Resin Parachutes and covered them with Silver Cloth,I added some Slixx decals and "Pro Tech" Spark Plug Wire for the Release Cables and made a brkt. and painted it Alclad.......I added the Windshield and made a Winshield Frame and added "Pro Tech" nut and bolt ends........I made a Snorkel and added "Pro Tech" nut and bolt ends.......I made a Wheelie Bar and painted it Alclad and lighly weathered .....I will attach the Wing, Rockers ,and Body Release tomorrow........thanks for looking.

Hello......thank you all so very much for the kind comments......I really do appreciate them.......I got the body primered and all the body work done........then I airbrushed a Silver Base Coat........then I masked off the bottom 1/2 of the body and airbrushed it H.O.K. Black.......then I gave a clear coat.......then I applied the Slixx Decals.......the Slixx Decals that I used were for the Red Coors Corvette and they had White Coors lettering......I am building the Silver and Black Coors Corvette with the red Coors lettering........I needed red Coors lettering so I had "GWS Decals" make me some red Coors lettering and a new Mongoose logo for the hood........thank you Gary with GWS Decals they came out great........I need to touch up a few spots nothing major........thanks for looking
