Hi cheers for the replys. Sorry if I came across agressive. It wasn't meant. And we just built them the way we (individualy) liked. There was no set way u had to build. I was thinking about joining an online cbp might join the next one. -

U can say which way u would have done it. It's all good fun. We want to know what people think. Cheers -
Hi all u may have seen a few cars in the workbench and under glass, with the story of a small work challenge. Well today was D day. And the results are here here's a few pics of all three on there on then together originaly the challenge was for me and hammers, I bought his kit and he bought mine this one above belongs to jon (hammers) the model is an airfix wrc rally car. Any info can be found in workbench and under glass this one above reece's (rab95) he joined in on the action about 1 month in ( it was 3-4 mth build) he bought his own kit. Airfix rally evo. Again anyore info can be found in workbench and under glass and finally this one above belongs to me Craig (cazxr2) this time it is a revell of Germany evo rally and again any info in workbench and under glass. and the results were........... Drum roll first place. rab95 green evo sec place. cazxr2 black evo pick up third place. hammers yellow scooby we have plans for the next build off which will be a mini. Can be old or new shape. And anything goes ie any make, shape colour. Should be fun. Please comment u can also say which order u would have put them thanks. And WELL DONE Reece !!!!!

Cheers William. This will be pretty much stock bar the seat. As for the engine I think it will just be the cosworth unit. Thanks for the info tho. Maybe after a few more kits I will try to replicate a caterham properly.
-
hey jim any advice is good advice in my book. I should have said I like the caterham and it's the closest kit to that. It will basicly be a lotus seven. My bad!! It will be stock bar the colour and the posability of the single seat. Thanks for the post. And if u make it to Scotland give me a shout. Craig

Ooops double post. My bad. Anyway while I'm here I also painted engine block and the wheels( the ones above) going to detail them with a bit of black. Not going for the 5 spokes as the pic for the web just stick with the standard wheels. Just now anyway. May change my mind later.

Cheers people for the advice. I will take my time with this build and not just rush into it. Was doing a bit of iterweb searching for some pics to help me with colour choice and came across this and I LOVE the colour orange so that was a YES so here's it with a couple coats on it still got to tidy up the paint sand a few bits up. I also came across a smallish bucket seat in my parts box. Pic here (don't worry the dash won't be staying White) I just want a few opinions about the bucket seat. Going for the single seated as apose to the 2??? Thanks craig

I know what u mean. I'm a huge lover of proper "small hatchbacks" I used to own 2 1:1 Renault 5 GT turbos. (don't make the mistake in thinking that was the one with the engine in the back. It was the 1.4 turbo front wheel drive) still I loved them so much. Because they were PROPER small pocket rockets. Not like now. The Renault clio is huge compaired to it's old predisesor. I do prefer the older civics I have the type r before this to build too. And also 2 Renault 5 gt turbos. Can't wait!! cheers for the replys
