Parts box fillers............which kits?
cazxr2 replied to Nick Winter's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I know this is probably not your thing but the revell tuner series has extra wheels and seats? Hope that helps -
Nice i like the engine detail. lol

Wow another argument lol. Can I just say "custom"'surely means. Anything non original?? Here's a pic of a few of my builds and I class them all as "custom" because they are what I wanted and not what the instructions said? I think as the op is a newby they were just after something that they could "change" into something non original weather that be bumpers, roof chop, wheels or something completely different. But a agree the revell tuners have several choices of bumpers hoods, lights and wheels. And there is a lot of 3in1 kits. Here's a few pics of my what I call "custom" and yeah there not 50s or 60s. I Beleave this is "custom" as the decals were made "custom" for this build only. And this is more "obvious" "custom" as u chopped the back of the roof off And I would say this is also "custom" purely for the fact u wouldn't get it that colour from the factory. So u see there is several meanings to the word "custom" so let's just agree to disagree. I think that should be a community build. "custom" car lol

Yeah i got this last Wednesday too, and I also was on gt4 for ages getting rather stressed with the due date being put back further and further. But as u said definatly worth the wait. I love the fact there's so many cars. Love it. Craig

Well another change of plans with the paint it's just staying black and I will add the White stripe decals at a later date. Here she is with the optional wheels with the kit. Also thought as the trunk is opened it would give me the perfect time to scratch build a speaker box. This is just a quick mock up. Cheers Craig

Painted matt black then quick coat of black through the spray gun. Getting a hang of it now. How does everybody like the idea of paint colour? ps sorry for the crappy photos just being lazy and using the iphone instead of the camera.

Thanks mate al go on the hunt for some paper clips. Hope I don't wreck it lol Change of paint as I still haven't received my candy paint. So it's going to be going the original colour I planned. This is it on the top of an Audi spare body I have.

The Most Dangerous Car You've Ever Owned
cazxr2 replied to David G.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Well I used to own a 1991 Renault 5 gt turbo. It's the 1.4 turbo front wheel drive. Not too be confused with the rear wheel drive monster. Anyway I went to view the car with my mate. And took it for a spin instantly fell in love. U know what I mean, ur right foot is buried on the throttle. I drove the car home (nearly 350 miles) was the best road trip ever. All my mates were so jealous. It didn't last long. They are French small (pocket rocket was there nicknames) hatchbacks. So they were really flimsy like tin. Well I found out after just 5 days of owning her. Some teat in a big 4x4 drove right into me. Car was wrecked completely. I was do sad nearly cried. This is it. Before crash I will try find after pics. I bought a White one 1 month later with the insurance money. That I crashed after just 3 hours. totally my fault lol. That was about 9 years ago still miss that grey one now. Ps only 2 cars I've smashed. -
What is on your "to build" list?
cazxr2 replied to ian ashton's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Lime green. Good choice That's the tamiya Subaru which I think suits the lime green. Good luck whatever u build. Lime green rules lol. My to do list Currently 1967 mustang gt 350 Then Honda integra type And when I'm good enough (maybe never) a Renault 5 turbo to replicate my 1:1 -
That's some amount of gear u got there Brett.

Cheers anyway. Anybody know where to find the stuff to make the hinges?? Cheers

Not looked at the engine wise yet. But I would prefer the ford engine. Cheers

I don't have a lhs near by. So I buy my supplies from the net. What sizes do I need to get?? If anybody could set up links to what I need that would be very helpful. Thanks Craig

Looking good my friend I thought u would have just made your own decals. But like you I agree with the originals. Looking good so far mate.

Finlay got this started. Not much but least it's on it's way. And I'm on the hunt for the candy red paint. Just cut open the trunk, not sure how to make a hinge yet? I started the chassis it's away drying at the moment.
