  1. outstanding!!! i love the way you did your rear spoiler, im glad to see im not alone in the way we had to make our own to make up for that "stub" they call a spoiler. i love the way you did your side skirts and front chin spoiler also great work!! i'll be keeping an eye on this one! P.S. you have the AMT 70 1/2 camaro correct? i test fitted my chassis in the body after i glued the rear filler panel and front panel and the only problem i had was getting the radiator and support back out of the body, it kept snagging on the front filler piece.
  2. Ok here are a few updated pictures. Primed the body after some body work, tried to fill gaps and worked in my spoiler. a shot of the interior and engine. its slow going right now! cant wait to really be able to work non-stop on it.
  3. Very good job! I'm working on the same kit right now.
  4. Beautiful build! I love it
  5. Beautiful paint job! I love it, great work!
  6. thanks, yah its a nice kit, although the rear spoiler isnt to my liking so im making my own haha. otherwise everything seems to fit together well
  7. hey all, so im a little stuck on what wheels and tires to use for this car, either go for a more classic look, or go with a newer more custom look #1 #2 let me know what you think guys! thanks
  8. Beautiful build!! Love the color!
  9. Very nice!! I'm working on the same one right now. Love the color!
  10. Haha you're exactly right! Especially when the Sprint cars are running I would bring a pair of goggles cause there is no way you're keeping all that dust out of your eyes! What was the drivers name?
  11. now that is niiiiiiice!!
  12. the body panel dents i heated up with a lighter then pushed, pulled, dented in, smushed where ever i felt there would be damage on the 1:1 car. as for the front and rear "sheet metal" patch work i used styrene sheet and glued it in place. after the glue dried i heated it up and conformed it to the body as if being beat into place by a hammer at the track. i love racing so i go to as many races here as i can and after seeing all the bumping, spin outs, crashes you get a good idea of where the damage should be and where the mud is thrown on the car. im really glad you all like it!!
  13. ASA* whoops sorry my phone likes to input words lol
  14. Thanks for the compliments everyone! It's a big boost of confidence I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out! And yes it was an ass camaro! And I just drilled small holes in the styrene sheet like rivits
  15. Great build I love those old trucks!
  16. Very nice save!!
  17. Hey everyone! So heres the scoop. I have a 1990 Camaro sitting in my parents driveway taking up space. I would love to race it in the Street Stock class at our local track (wilmot raceway) but they wont allow Camaros, El Caminos, Firebirds and such, even if you were to connect the sub-frame they wouldnt allow it (some bogus rules if you ask me!) so i built the next best thing.... my fantasy camaro stock car. i created the decals myself for the first time using testors decal creator kit. its not as easy as i thought it would be haha. also used a dremmel tool to cut grooves into the tires, slicks dont work so well on dirt so i converted the hoosier slicks into hoosier dirt grabbers:P After a tough season filled with on-track incidents the car got a fresh paint job, new nose, new primary sponsor and some patch work After a rainy start of the month it took a while to get the track dialed in, but by nights end the #86 machine came from the back to take the win in the A-main feature event. thanks for lookin!
  18. Very cool!! Good work
  19. Very nice! Did you paint the camouflage yourself?
  20. That is so cool! Awesome job I really like it!
  21. Hey mike, no I've never heard of Dons hobbies but I just google'd it haha. Do you remember if it was by Roosevelt rd? I'll have to pay him a visit today, thanks.
  22. Thanks for all the comments guys, I did have trouble with the hood, it seemed as if the hood was warped. As for the camaro I agree with you Donald, even with clear over the paint it just doesn't look right. I should have gone with a gunmetal or plain silver paint.
  23. I use styrene rod from evergreen. take a look at my "2006 dale jr. richmond win" build. i built almost the entire cage and bumper frame with the styrene it bends very easily! hope this helped
  24. lookin great so far!
  25. Looks good! i really like the orange you painted!
