the worst made cars on the road.........
Railfreak78 replied to B_rad88's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The only problem I can thing of was when I worked at an oil change place in the pacific north west. For some reason every Colorado (we had a contract with Budwieser distributers so many) had water in the oil on the dipstick. It was really odd and I wanted to chalk it up to the air up there but only these tucks did it. Makes me worried about the heads further down the road. -
Anyone have pics of masking with silly putty? I ask because I'm not picturing in my mind how you would use it. I'm glad this topic is here as I just talked with my daughter last night about trying silly putty or playdo to make the tongue hanging out of the exhaust on my Jarius Art project. If the paint sticks thats cool or does it flake off?

So this is not models but I got this as part payment for some electrical work I did last night. I normally do not do it anymore due to I was an electricial for over 10 years and I'm burnt out. I took the job to make some money to buy models and on top of the money he threw in this and said he has 2 vintage kits that he does not know what they are and he will dig them out and give them to me. Not bad for 2 hours work adding a couple plugs and some panel work.

Local Hero Chevelle Saturday Night stock car
Railfreak78 replied to PatRedmond's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Very cool idea to bring some light to the local short tracks and I applaude that! This decal company make the decals by request? I grew up working on and watching my dad's boss of all people tear up the local track and would love to make a model of it. Great car -
EModelcars.com month!
Railfreak78 replied to Darin Bastedo's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I checked it out and just need to get used to the format. I struggle with that sometimes but anyway, Does this act like Ebay as far as paypal and such or do you have to set up new accounts? I'll have to go look again and check it out again thanks for reminding me! -
What ever you guys decide to do I'll support the model community. I say this again though, Having general chit chat is a good thing. I saw a comment about that the people that do a lot of chit chat bring the least to the table. I personally have a lot of topics on the work bench and some under glass. I saw something about PMs. Personally when I come home from work I go strait on here because I look forward to models AND communication with the great people here. I saw about people should go to a forum about the topic that might be in the general section. I personally don't like going to forum after forum. Hmm.. This me me me could be a topic in general. I also read that the model related tips get burried in the general section... I thought thats what the Tips catagory was for. I read a statement about Facebook. I posted a Facebook topic to no avail so where do you go from there? Any way split, keep it, delete it. I like the forum and won't leave anyway. That was my me me me rant I guess and now off to click on the threads I want to read in any catagory I choose.

'66 Ford Pickup- Its done!
Railfreak78 replied to jeffb's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Thats awesome as I used to own one like this but it was yellow when I got and I painted it flat black. I'd love to make a model of it but I only have a die cast and thats not really my style. I'll have to get one one of these. -
Looks cool so far buddy! This thing can wheel stand the whole track I'm sure!

I would say its ok to make an off topic side and I Strongly disagree with the idea of deleting off topic ideas. It may not be about models but it has allowed us a way to have general conversations with others here and that has lead to friendships and a way to keep ourselves entertained while paint dries. I know that some don't want to read it so don't click on a thread. I personally like that teenages all the way up to guys beyond retired can sit and bs here and I see many people doing it. I'd ask to at least make the second section. Thanks

Great job! I agree I can't stand Kyle and hope he settles down. I couldn't stand Kurt at Roush but now that The Captain got a hold of him he is one of my favorite drivers. I've met him 2 times and have a bunch of autographs. I also was able to sit in his car once. Great job on a great car and Go Blue Duece at PIR Tomorrow!

1970-72 Chevy Cheyenne Dual Cab Crew Cab
Railfreak78 replied to Tumbler75's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I have a love for this kind of truck as my dad had a 72 with a 402BB in it and that was a blast to drive. Great truck on Jarius' design and your work so far is spot on. I like this one!! -
Hey JT i think I have what you need. I was upset cause my camera died after this pic and I was going to get a close up. These match the style if you fill the center almost to a "T" The ironic part is these wheels were on this junker I bought in bulk and its the right car! Let me know if you want the wheels or if you found the correct ones. I'm always willing to help all the people in this build if I can I'll get better pics tomorrow!

Hey guys I had an idea I very well may have missed. When you set up your profile and you have your E-mail and AIM choices I thought I do not use Aim but I use Facebook. I don't know if it would be difficult to change the settings to Facebook and others like Myspace. I do know that I really wouldn't mind if some of the cool people in here that I get along with could join me. By the way Scale dreams does cool promos on Facebook. This may be an old topic but I just found MCM on there and thought that I don't care if people from this great forum friend request me on it. What do you guys think of a topic like this?

Does this mean I'm NOT the only Reno 911 fan?
