  1. Finally finished, very good job on it !!! Bravo !!!!
  2. 140$ !!! That seems a bit excessive for me, I payed mine around 25$, I found it with some other kits in a little shop in Genève ( Swizerland ), amazing shop where it looks time stops at the end of the 80ies.....
  3. Some pics I've found on the net, just to give some idea of building, the blue one is pure 70ies Street Machine style !!!!
  4. Very interesting topic, I have some Monza kit also, I just bought this one a few weeks ago : I also have the Monza from AMT with the wide fenders. 19. Here is one view of the engine :
  20. This project was in my head for years and I finally decide to build it. Starting with a Turbo Buick Regal kit from Revell/Mono, I plan to modify it into a simple "every day" model as you could see on the road during the 80ies. Lots off job on the body, I add some chrome molding on the middle of the doors and on the bottom off the sides, rechrome the bumpers with BMF, create a half vinyl top, wire wheels hubcaps from an old Johan kit, and I have to flatened the hood, which was a hard task, I've redonne it more than one time..... On the engine bay is sitting a carburated V6, with home made air filter and parts box element for the exhaust, the inside also has been detailed with some flocking, the seat belts are from MCG, and I've put some weathering to bring it to life. The color is from BMW and it was my first airbrush paint ( usually I paint with spray can ) Well here are the pics, it's a model I'm kind of proud of ( sometimes it's good....), and I hope you'll like this build : How many pics are we allowed to post in one topic ???
  21. Some more pics : Here is a pic of the next one to come, each model will have a different engine and wheels combo, don't know yet when it'll be finished
  22. Well, don't know why but I'm registered in this forum since 2009 but never participate in it, maybe to much things to do and not enough time. Anyway, let's say I'm here for good, this time and will try to be present as soon as possible. So here is my last build, it's a 70 GTX from Monogram, started as a serie of 4 models from the same kit, 2 as a GTX, 2 as RRunner. It was painted now years ago but never finished. Basically box stock, this kit is from the first issue of that model, and I choose tostay with that color ( Lime Green ), I've changed the engine for a 426 Hemi coming from a 71 'Cuda. SOme detailing and wiring have been put in the engine bay. I also add some detail on the interior, by example the armrest were molded very "flat" so I decide to give them some new ones, front and rear, I also add the upper door wood and chrome finish. Wood is done with some decals. On the outside I've put some Keystone wheels from MRC, the rear is a bit higher than stock. I've also work on the front bumper because it seems to me that Mono put it a bit to low when compared with the real car, and it get's the front a bit heavy when build stock, so I replace it at the good "stance". Also, on the taillight panel, I've put the chrome surrounding at the bottom of the light which was forgotten by Mono, in fact that is not on the RRunner but correct onthe GTX. Well, I hope you'll like it, it's a model now not so often seeing built, and I have some real pleasure to finally finish it.
