62 Buick Electra 225 for the BCAS 'same kit' build.
fastram replied to whale392's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Well at least you can have it ready for the Cincinnati Challenge in April! The theme this year is The BIG BOPpers. BUICKS, Oldsmobiles, & Pontiacs. Ready to play now? The car looks great from what I have seen. I too have a Buick Special wagon I picked up at the SCIMA show last month, and am working on a 66 Wildcat. Keep up the good work, and Breath Before Crushing next time! -
Hey Bud, looks great! How about the Big block out of the AMT 67 Impala Street Machine? But can you finish it in time to come back to Cincy for the Challenge in 2011? Keep up the great work!

The wheels are Aoshima Gram Lights R57 GT's. My inspiration for this build is this......except for the white wheels. Think I'll stay with silver. You're doing an excellent job building my favorite Prue Vision car... I've seen this car in person and the white wheels really make it stand out. I like the wheels you picked out, but I think they would look really cool in white too. Just my opinion.... Keep up the good work!

That is so cool! Looks like it could pass as a updated version of BIG RED the 69 Camaro that ran int the Silver States Classic! Keep up the great work.

Very nice work. You got the look and the stance just right. Keep up the good work!

Father Daughter builds are always a good time. My two daughters used to build with me, and now that they are grown. And I now have a Grandson from one of them, I can't wait for a Grandpa Grandson build in a few years!

Daisy Dukes '74 Road Runner Has Been Released!
fastram replied to Custom Hearse's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
If you want a four door Plymouth, all you need do is start with a Joker Goon car Monaco, (TJ Hooker, Roscoe) that will give you the roof line, doors, and interior and chassis. The rest is up to your modeling skills. -
SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH! Beautiful slick build. Just enough. I Like It!
-
Another fantastic build my friend! I guess it's time to break out the 66 Impala and get started....Maybe the Wildcat, no the Bonneville, no maybe the 68 Chrysler.... I got some catching up to do..... Very nice job, I like it! Now I have to "Hop to It"!
-
Thanks! I hope the remake of the correct color 67 turns out as nice.
-
Super Slick! Makes you wanna go out a make sparks!
-
Looks good so far, and I like the color you pick out for it.....
-
Yes it's the wrong paint scheme for the 67 car but I didn't have the decals or the color pics of the 67 to do it when I built this one.... But now I do, so we'll try for another. But it was a fun build anyway.

It's always fun to look at what we've done in the past and sometimes it gives others inspiration to get back to building!

Another one..... This is an AMT 71 Duster kit that was inspired by the Duster built by Prue Vision called "DUST YA" Hope you enjoy it.
-
Sharing other pictures of models I've finished......... AMT 72 GTO done as a Pro Touring painted Tamiya Orange. Pegasus wheels, and a rear spoiler from a 69 Hurst Olds kit. I did modify the rear bumper by cutting it into thirds and resizing it. Then BMF it.
-
Thanks. I had the junk built up Duster sitting there and just happened to slip the Chassis from the T-Bird under it and it fit so nice. The front spoiler on the car is the piece off the chassis from the back of it. And the only mod to the suspension is the front lower a-arms had to be moved back about 1/16th of an inch. The body had the drip rail moldings removed and the rear wheel wells opened up a bit. I had to cut down the roll cage a bit to fit the roof line but not much. It was a fun build, and it turned out better than I thought.

What happens when you have a Glidden Pro Stock T-Bird kit and an old MPC Duster sitting in front of you on your workbench? Well this is what happened a while back for me. Pics were removed because of size of file. Look ferther down for pics re-added.....

1966 Ford Fairlane GT-GTA Pro Touring Build
fastram replied to MustangDreams's topic in WIP: Model Cars
How about the twin turbo engine from the Super Stallion Mustang? That would be better for a Pro Touring car! Besides you'd be keepin' it Ford! -
You never cease to amaze me with your work. Beautiful job. Seems like only the other day we were at Johnny's train show and building models. Oh what fun!
-
I saw a resin chassis on Ebay that was already made for this kit, tubbed and all. I'd check that out if you're wanting a little more "Meat" under the Nova.
-
Your work is fantastic, and I can't wait to see the finished model. I wish I still had the patients to scratch build a project like that. Keep up the good work!
-
And that good friend still likes your work! Keep it up! And come back for a longer stay in Cincy soon! We need to have a model building nite! You up for it?
