  3. thanks guys! well to be honest i like the chrome headers hehe! to address the other item about the heated bluing of chrome, i was going to do that, but i need to get the stuff which is sold in little bottles. i can't think of the name at the moment.
  4. here is the front end getting built. the drop axle was machined by Bob Dudek and the batwings or hairpins as some call them were built by Bob Dudek as well. there are some mods being done to the chassis from the kit and suspension parts to make this all work. like i said i will make a list of parts etc when it's done. enjoy!
  5. thank you! here is a shot of engine , there is a lot of detail not shown in the picture , but i hate to clutter this up with so many photos hehe
  6. Dave, nice save! i like the 4dr with skirts! real old school stuff man!
  7. thanks for the reply! the frame was just like that from the factory. the color is Deep Cranberry Pearl by dupli color. i will update again soon as i get the body polished up!
  8. Well it's been awhile since i have posted anything and i have been working on a '32 Goodguys edition Roadster. This car is as stupid and crazy as i get. I don't build every model like this so please don't treat me like a detail freak lol In fact , i plan to build a lot of vintage box art models when i get this done! This is just a mockup, the ride height will be lower in front and maybe about the same in the rear? This is a teaser pic i guess, i will update more soon. I will also list all the parts and such used etc.....
  9. lookin good Irv! i bet geezer would like to see this.
  10. well i finished this sucker lastnight! it's done and i am moving on lol...enjoy! please view the rest of the pics here, i did a bunch and don't want to clog this thread up lol http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc..._air/page4.html

  12. dude.....this is so cool ! traditional and i love it! do you have more pics of stuff you built?
  13. what scale is this thing? i think you need to hurry up and finish it!
  14. this looks awesome! i love it and i love it! need to see more old school rides like this around! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LowRidingMod...yguid=276714399
  15. that is really sweet man! i love it and it's a FALCON!
  16. i was not aware of that problem with those tires. yeah i have some of Randy's tires they are nice. i have wrinkle walls like the ones shown on this car , i will have to dig them out i have several pair in a box. thanks for the info. still a sweet model!
  17. love the color man! you did an excellent job on the model! it's amazing even the box art shows the wrinkle walls on backwards. please don't take me wrong, but the wrinkle walls are facing backwards as if the car is torqued in reverse. it's not a big deal really, and i see this all the time on other's models. i think i see why now though after seeing the box art. i might have made the same mistake if i didn't know.

  19. thanks guys! i will update this more later on. right now i am working on the interior and getting ready to foil the body.
  20. despite your fight it was worth it! very nice looking car! i would however like to mention that not all resin kits are bad. i don't cast myself, but there is a distinct difference between quality and quanity. what i mean by that is some guys will squeeze 100 or more bodies from the same old mold , which does make them thick and not all together pretty. i don't know who you got that one from, but depending on the car you look for next time, i recommend going with Perry's Resin, Drag City Casting (F&F Resin) or R&R....but keep in mind each caster has their bugs, but i would have to say your best bet is one of those. There are tons of guys casting out there, check here for links to find more ! http://www.thedpmcc.com/contactus.html
  21. i love Craig! great color combo and the wheels really set it off!
