  1. thanks! i understand what ya mean. i do not collect, but i do have tendancy to pick up stuff that is hard to get and expensive, but i will build them all i have a 1967 Ford Galaxie that would sell for nearly $200 on the bay, but i will enjoy making it worthless when i build it LOL
  2. to answer your first question, i got this in a trade that i let my friend keep the phone booth and parts to make "ding a ling". i might be able to get them from him, but if i do, i was going to get me a couple little red wagon kits and build the other two versions of this kit  when we traded i said all i want to build was the TTT so i let him keep the rest. yes i saw your post and responded, maybe we missed each other lol....i think if i remember right i said you could contact me awbcrazy@tconl.com so we could meet if you like. the next time or any other time you come to Omaha, i am always eager to hang with another modeler! all the stores you mentioned i go to and some others as well, but there is no particular hobby shop that has a good selection of aftermarket parts.....BUT do you know Steve Kohler? he lives here and he has TONS since he sells for MCG, PBP, R&R, HENDRIX AND MORE. if you need to pay him a visit, maybe we could go together since it's been awhile since i was at his place.
  3. repro! i used to run Gooche decals site for him and i got a bunch of decals at the time. i have the originals, but they are yellowed and would look bad against the new white paint.
  4. This is an unbuilt vintage kit that would most likely be on a collector's shelf.....but i don't collect , so watch this thing get built! IMC Touch Tone Terror wheelstander and will be built like the box art. i have already removed a lot of flash and mold lines. it's in color now and i will update again when i have decals on it.
  5. that is very cool! while i don't want to be responsible for hardcopy items, if you would like i can post photos or scans of the work to share. it would be a slight shame to have something that rare only be seen in the Utah museum since most can't get there. i might be heading there next time, i could not make this one since i just moved.
  6. AWESOME JOB! all the detail work really looks good! *are you going to paint them wheel backs?*
  7. I have been building 25 years off and on, but very strongly over the last 10 years. I have taken my hobby to everyone's computer. I started a model car club called Drastic Plastics on yahoo groups. It started out as a yahoo "group" , but now it's more of a central zone for members to pass email back and forth. I do everything in my power everyday to make it more interesting and to help others by sharing what i know and learn from others. Check my links to see what work has been done. We keep getting bigger and better all the time! Thanks for asking. www.thedpmcc.com
  8. killer! i like it! i have two of these to build up. thank you for sharing it, i don't see many built.
  9. Bob is the MAN! I have several of his parts and it's better than anything else i have seen. I have some of these pipes coming too! You should see the stuff he has made!
  10. Thank you for all the nice compliments from everyone! I forgot i posted this awhile back and didn't mean to take so long to reply. Keep checking back, it's almost daily i am adding more and more!
  11. hello from across the border! lol the shops you mentioned are pretty much the only ones i go to as well. there are TONS of stores that carry models though such as Mangelson's, Michael's, WalMart, Kmart and many more. if you feel like popping over let me know awbcrazy@tconl.com
  12. the collection i have is under 50, most of the old ones on the site were scans from several different people they sent me. the ones i do have i don't know what to do with yet. i think they would look cool framed or displayed on a wall like you said though.
  13. that would be VERY interesting to have on the site! interested in having them for everyone to see? admin@thedpmcc.com
  14. thank you Art! the box art portion would be with the instructions when you click on it. for example if you clicked on the box art for this version of the 57 ford, http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc...957-ford-fairl/ you would see the box art model too. this one was built by Terry Jessee, but there are models built by others as well. if you would like to have photos of the models you built for AMT, i would be honored to ad them! if you would like to submit yours please email the pictures to admin@thedpmcc.com thanks! PS.. there is a box art section being worked on that is on the Fotki site only and can be accessed through the "links" section.

  16. Bud, this will be a cool car to build!
  17. awesome paint job! if i could make a suggestion? don't use those wheels trust me they are low detail. i used them on my last low build and they look "ok" but not as good as some nice Pegasus wheels would. need some direction? send me an email and i will show you pics and give you some links. SWEET PAINT JOB! awbcrazy@tconl.com
  18. nice job Irv! the paint job is WOW! i like the interior color against that paint, the car could pass as real with a diff back ground
