  5. Hey Charlie, Thanks for the information, helped clear up a couple of things I did not quite understand. Like your analogy about mixing the laundry. Will try Michaels and see how it goes. You and Hawk gave me a lot of great insight, and I appreciate it. This is just the coolest forum in the world, and it has helped my enjoyment of our wonderful hobby, and I thank you once again. Now to the store... Mike
  6. Hey Hawk, Thanks for your reply, still learning as I go. Want to try some other paints with my airbrush, rattle cans have been fun, but, you know..... Hawk, on your reply, I didn't quite understand part of it. Was your initial plastic color red and you were trying to seal that? I thought once well-sealed the sealer and/or primer would do their job and any color could be sprayed. Did the clear turn red from the plastic color or a reaction to the primer/sealer? I also now know Plasticote makes different color primers, wouldn't it be smart to match the primer close to color I am going to paint? Maybe that is not important, but I just don't know. Trying to make sure I understand, I know a good modeler is going to experiment, but if I can save a couple steps and a couple bucks along the way, I'll take it!! Thanks again for your help! Mike
  7. Hi John, Just wanted to drop in, kinda new around here and just getting back into it, wanted to say hi and let you know how much I appreciate you posting your models, I love the 60's and 70's dragsters, altereds, gassers, funny's, etc., and your build are just such an inspiration for me to get back into the hobby after waaaayyyy too long away. Thanks for all your posts, keep coming....

  12. Man, this looks sharp, clean build, great stance, you did a great job. Sometimes newer wheels don't always work, but in this case they just make it look so custom and just plain BAD!! Nice, nice, nice.... thanks for posting! Mike
  13. David, Wow, just beautiful, black is the hardest color, but when it is done the way you did it, the sharpest, deepest color, great job on a clean build!! A couple of questions if I may....on the small parts website, which size screen do you use, they have a bunch, and also, which lacquer thinner do you use with the MM? Appreciate your hard work, thanks for posting, now...... how can I let her know they have to hang upside down in the bathroom? Hmmm.... Mike

  20. Hi Bob, I, along with everyone else I guess, have this kit as well. I have seen several other versions but yours is just beautiful! I had also heard of construction issues, how did your build go, any comments or suggestions, who knows maybe one of us might finish one too. Just a great looking build, thanks for posting, and if there are body-off shots, would like to see them too. Mike
  21. Hey Shucky, Clever way to send the measurements, I have no doubt what they are! Hey, when you send PM to Romell, send me one please, include prices for both sizes, since 1/12 scale, just gonna get both and see which one passes the eyeball test, best way I know. Hey, there's always a place for cool parts. Thanks. Mike

I am almost ready to post my first bike, in about two weeks, keep up the good work John, love watching your progress. Thanks. Mike
  25. Highway, Couple quick questions.... do you sand between coats, do you decant or spray from can? Gotta try some tomorrow, been wanting to try hotter paints. Thanks again. Mike
