  1. Thats great !!!!
  2. Here is some more. Made the rock look a little better and added the brick in the center of building. Just playing around with rock and brick. Still might use the wall as a backdrop. Will add some wood trim to the doors soon.

Looks great ! Just wondering....what size brick are you using for scale ? Standard brick measurements are 2 and 1/4" thick and 8" long. But there are different sizes in different countries. And different size bricks. What does yours measure out to. (scale wise) When I measure mine to scale, they seem to be much smaller than yours. Especially when I put them next to my scaled rock. Just wondering. Looks good...dont get me wrong. Soon................
  4. Takes me back to the snow days in N.C. Good job.
  5. Looks good Jerred.
  6. Here are some more pieces I have been workin on. Do not know exactly where I am going with this but have enjoyed using different techniques and mediums. The large brick lookin wall is really meant to be block but the coloring suggests brick. It is 1/16th and was created to be a backdrop for a 1/16 '32 RR I finally finished. The other stuff is 1/24 scale. Am hoping I can inter mix these without it lookin too outa sorts. But if not I will continue on. Actually the wall with the bars is the front of an old jail house I had in mind but I thought I would put them together to see what they look like. The fireplace is 3/16 foamboard and the rest is packaging and styrfoam insulation. The stone faced building is packaging with adhesive grout spread and then scribed. The other rock work is scribed directly onto the styrfoam. The coloring is cement dyes and acrylics. Stone and brick come in all sorts of different colors, shapes and sizes, so I am playing around with those. The hardest part of this whole process is the posting....anyway....here goes again. thanks for lookin

Just went back and viewed all 11 pages of this project and I have got to say you have come a long way and it just gets better. A few questions for you. The raise brick areas...did you make those from foam bd by gluing a front to two side pieces or were they already formed that way ? What kind of wood for the rafters and joists...balsa ? How thick is the FB and what is it attached to, to give the walls strength ? Sorry to ask so much but its this part of the construction end that I need some clarification on. Anyhow...Great work and great reconstruction since the disaster. Keep on keepin on Dannyi !!!
