  1. I can't decide whether the bubbletop looks too fine to be a model, or too photochopped to be real, if it is real, how do you get in? And something doese'nt look right with the shading... The edges on the skirts looks very fine tho, so i'll probably vote real.
  2. Well, i would primer it as well as cleaning it, primer is a miracleworkef for adhesivity!
  3. Awesome stance, great wheelchoice! Follow it up!
  4. I'll probably just bump into the side of it and tip the donked up Escapade on its side....
  5. Now i know you wouldn't be able to find the AMT Bigfoot or USA1?
  6. I actually saw a documentary about the Beetle a while back, where they said that Hitler personally added the finnishing touches on the Beetle, apparently he didn't like what Porsche had come up with, and seeing that the beetle was originally to be a staffcar for german officers in the army, he found it important that it looked "representable".
  7. BTW Zukiholic, if youre gonna have trim or so around that BP glass, you may wanna make the thickness show somehow, maybe drilling a hole or something through it, coming to think of it ya could stick a machinegun out from it.. Just a thought.. Cool idea anyhow, reckon ya gonna be the only one without metalcovered windows.
  8. all this trouble with building a model..... can't i just enter my snowhauler? Oh right, no 1:1's....
  9. Hello, just wondering if anyone has pics or links to where i could look at the details of the AMT monstertruck kits, mainly thinking of the Bigfoot and the Usa 1? Thanks
  10. That actually made me rethink my paint idea!

  15. well, i aint home at the time i write this, so i can't post any pics of my kit, but ive got a pic of the box Peterbilt 377 "Truckasaurus Flex"
  16. Ok, time for an update! Now i have no idea why the "brush-applied-primer" turned out as bright orange on the photos, i mixed it from gloss bright orange and flat brown-red -ish it turned out great, but on the photos... meh.. I shot the interior with flash, wich led to some shine-through on a few places, and made the detail on my little CB-radio not show, but here goes: The little beercan was a fun curbside project in its own, only wish the clearcoat wouldnt have smudged the red... Never saw anyone do a radiator with corrosions, never owned a car wich didn't have, so: Didnt have any descent materials for making the rims bigger, so i had to get creative: I used home made putty, made from scrap styrene and terpentine in a can.
  17. Well, i wouldn't know, never used real bmf in my life, i use this aluminum tape thats usually used for putting together sheets of sound-isolation in cars, it comes in 15m (about 14-16 yards or so i think) rolls, about 4 inches wide, and only costs about 2-3$ per roll, might be considerable?
  18. I'm in!! Someone re-post the rules etc. please?

  22. I've seen that one, would love one for the cahssis-engine to detail my Futura, ok, i know, it's not the 357, but it's better than "whatnot" is molded in there on the original Futura kit...
  23. Dang, i gots to get my hands on one o those, pity that the shipping costs from Sweden to the U.S. for a box of modelcar-size is at about $45...
