About Me
I'm a disabled modeler, and since I'm homebound for the most part, the computer is a great source of research material and friendships. I've looked at pictures of the member's work, and it's the best out there. I'm a former engineer, and when I see the scratchbuilding and detail, I'm amazed. I would have liked to have some of you working with me! I build mostly 1/24, 1/25 replica stock cars, both domestic and import, of the Postwar era up to about 1965. I also build in 1/32, especially if they're of interest. Revell-Monogram...reissue the '56 Eldorado and Ford Sunliner and whatever else of those dies you can find again in your SSP program! I also build vintage racing cars in whatever scale they're available. I enjoy the 1/43rd resin/multimedia kits, but being on a disability income limits getting those. I also dabble in aircraft models, but they have to have propellers! I like building the 1930's racing planes like the GeeBee, Wendell Williams, Travelaire Mystery Ship, etc., as the "Art Deco" aircraft design and paint schemes are not unlike automobiles.
