  1. Hello Dave Sometimes buiding a big project is needed as a modeller. This project is going well. I will keep following the build. Best regards Daniel Gailloux
  2. The color scheme came from my day cab build and wanted to be a fleet truck and put the Dohrn decal on the door. The decal sheet was from my decal box. I then modified a 40 ft trailer to be pulled by the truck. It is a 27 ft delivery trailer with rear lift gate. I then came up with this color sceme for the trailer. The blue is Testors 1108 light blue, Testors 1104 dark red, the dark orange stripe is Italian red B-2719 all applied with airbrush. I am using all standard Testors colors this way I can always replicate the same colors. The combination of colors is important and will impact the final result. I have googled Internet about Dohrn transport company and they are still in buisness. They do not have the paint scheme I am using on my trucks. The logo has changed and trucks are white. From Hanks truck Picture site I was able to find photos of older trucks and found truck that were painted orange at one time. These decals are from AMT 40 ft external post trailer. On the box the trailer is painted orange like the original paint scheme from Dohrn. Thank you for the compliments. Daniel Gailloux
  3. Hello All It was raining most of the day. Then the sun came out and took these pictures. These are to update photos of my White Road Boss build. I took 11 new photos tonight. The model truck rig is now in the painting stages. Trailers are painted and assembled. I will be adding air and electrical lines to the trailers as details no more. Now I am focusing my work on the truck. Painted the cab this afternoon. Need to fit everything the cab and hood. One challenge is hinging the hood to make it open to show the Cummins NTC 350 diesel engine. Here is the Photobucket account link: My link Updated photos will be added as I progress with the build. Thank you for the interest in my project. Best regards Daniel Gailloux
  4. Hello Dave Thank you for the update and your honesty. I was eyeballing Mach personally. So it will be in that neigbourhood. I cannot beleive we are getting this kind of information from a manufacturer. Continue to keep us informed please it is greatly appreciated. Best regards Daniel Gailloux
  5. Yes it is more work than starting with a new kit. You need to fix broken parts, find what is missing, scratch build some and make every thing fit. Anyway this build will join the fleet of 2 trucks I have built so far. Thank you for the interest in this build. Best regards Daniel Gailloux
  6. Hello Christopher Nice save. Truck looks good. If you had not mentioned it I would have not known about the chassis. Best regards Daniel Gailloux
  7. Hello All I have been working on my White Road Boss. This project is from my parts box, built-ups. It will be pulling double 27 ft trailers. The trailers are AMT 40 ft cut down to 27 ft. I took the tandem 40 ft trailer suspension and cut it single axle. Trailers will have Plaskit resin cast 6 spoke 22 inch rims. The 40 ft trailers are not molded for double trailers. So I fabricated a new rear portion for the double trailer configuration. The Pintle hook is Plaskit resin cast. To recap for those that have not seen the beginnings. The truck was a built up in bad shape. Only saved the hood. New fabricated frame rails and transferred the chassis components from an unpainted chassis from the parts box to the new rails. Cummins engine is new from parts box transmission is a 14 speed Fuller. Hood is cut down to short hood version. Rims are Plaskit 2 hole bud with Uniroyal 22 inch tires. The truck chassis is almost done. I will need to fabricate the exhaust system this will done later. I took these photos just before I start painting. I will update as the project progresses. This is the Photobucket link to see the updated photos. Thank you for looking. My link Hope you enjoy the photos. Best regards Daniel Gailloux

  18. Welcome back to the modelling world. I beleive you are at the right place to find answers to your modelling questions. I also offer resin cast truck parts to better detail model trucks. I do offer a resin copy of the Detroit series 60 diesel engine. It is a resin copy of the Italeri engine in 1/24 scale. I do use it in 1/25 scale with no problem. Here is the resin cast engine kit. This is the engine in the 1/25 Kenworth T800 I have built. 22. Yes I am Daniel Gailloux from Plaskit. I do not have a web site to sell my resin parts at this time I have been using only my email address to sell my resin part on the web. I did open an Ebay store almost 2 months ago and starting slowly getting to know all the Ebay screens. I will be opening a web site later this year. For the time being I did upload pictures to a photobucket account that alows my customer to see my resin parts. Here is the link to my photobucket account: My link Look for files that start with Plaskit for photos of my resin parts and I also uploaded scans of my catalogue in JPEG format. I also uploaded pictures of real trucks, truck manufacturer brochures, and my models trucks and pictures of shows I attended. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions. I can also be contacted at this email address: plaskit_resin@yahoo.ca Best regards Daniel Gailloux
  23. I am a resin caster of model truck parts. Some fellow modellers did ask Claude if he would let me replicate it in resin. I know there is some intrest with this conversion kit. However he did not wish to do it to preserve his unique build. That is correct too. Enjoy his unique build. Best regards Daniel Gailloux
  24. This model was built by Claude Boulais. It is a replica of a local truck. This is not a resin conversion it was scratch built. Best regards Daniel Gailloux
