  1. Well thanks for all the good comments. Unfortunately I was not very happy with the way the decals turned out, so I changed them. I feel better about the way it turned out this time. The next thing is to do the interior and the final touches to the exterior.
  2. Yea, it's posted under 1955 Chevy Top Sportsman http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=95374&p=1297036
  3. Latest picture, adding the decals slowly on this one. I'm still waiting for some to arrive in the mail. Anyway here is the first look. It's not exactly the look I was going for, some of the original decals broke apart, so I improvised with what extra decals I had.
  4. Yes, first I do a light sand, apply a gloss cote, the tire decals then a black wash to the letters (to look a little worn) and then finally a dull cote. It does create a good effect.
  5. Well the blue paint has been applied. I will start to add some graphic decals while I wait for the sponser set to arrive.
  6. Here are the first pictures of the paint which was started yesterday. I went with a light gun metal front end, the rear will be metallic blue. You can also see the exhaust peeking out from the bottom of the fenders. Sorry the pictures are not the best.
  7. Here is some work in progress pictures. I decided to go with a blown supercharged engine. Don't believe it's as accurate as it could be, but i like it. Still need to work the exhaust through the front fenders.
  8. Now we have for your viewing pleasure a 1995 Ducati 916 AMA Superbike ridden by Freddie Spencer. I used a Tamiya kit with some minor body modifications and i also scratchbuilt a rear rim. The decal set came from Studio 27. Thanks for looking.
  9. Well let's try this again, the first post was lost in the change over. Anyway here is my 1991 Ducati 888 World Superbike ridden by Doug Polen. The kit is Tamiya built box stock except for the front brake rotors and i used Studio 27 decals. Thanks for looking.
  10. The kits are Tamiya snap-tight that they did a long time ago. There is engine detail but i chose to do these in a curbside and decals are from Indycals. Great decals by the way, very easy to use.
  11. Here is a couple of my latest builds, both are Tamiya 1993 Lola t93/00 speedway versions. The first is a Pennzoil Chevy driven by Teo Fabi, the second one is the Copenhagen Ford driven by Robbie Gordon. Thanks for looking
  12. Yea, it's a Tamiya 1/20 Mclaren mp4/8 with some aftermarket decals.
  13. Here is one of my older builds. I reworked the grill and front bumper, shaved the door handles and molded in the tailagate. I also added a carbon fiber bed cover and rolled down the side windows.
  14. Here is the latest to add to my finished list. A 1993 Mclaren mp4/8 Ford driven by Ayrton Senna. It's not an exact replica, but i still like it and i hope you do too. Thanks for looking
